It looks better than the current Baleno steering wheel. Expect Maruti to use the same steering wheel on their cars for the next 10 years.

I think the new one comes with cruise control. I see controls on both sides of the steering wheel. Also lots of buttons near the start button.

Is this the next gen Baleno? Or a heavily reworked facelift of the existing one?
As long as they improve the safety, which is the only serious chink in the Baleno's case.

True. Can expect it to be the default steering wheel design until the middle of this decade. But I don't mind it, since it is one of my favourite steering wheel designs to see/touch in the affordable segment.

Looks like too much buttons for an India spec model. Must be testing for the international markets too. Driver aids, active safety, 360° camera buttons galore.

Any chances its coming this Diwali? just saying it would be a good time.
Thankfully the instrument cluster is simple and well designed and that steering is lovable.

And hopefully this one's stiffer and dimple-resistant

What's the need for a camouflage? I really don't understand how it helps in sales. Facelifts in any case mostly have minor design changes. It's not as if Maruti is testing a new generation vehicle. Such absurdity needs to end.

Prima facie, it looks like a fairly reworked edition of the current model. Barely an evolution of the current design. Let us see what how the interior finally looks like but I don't expect the formula to change much.

Classic example of minimum investment, maximum return.

The rear reminds me of the WR-V.

Looks like the base version, and I wouldn't be suprised they followed Honda's lead and give a liberal chrome moustache to the upper part of the grille.

Not expecting them to do both, still. Either
1) Strengthen the vehicle and aim for atleast 4 stars in GNCAP.

Or

2) Give all the dualjet, trijet, mild hybrid, medium hybrid, strong hybrid whatever hybrid and aim for 25+km/l ARAI.

This looks like a heavily reworked Baleno. Door opening and Shell look very similar to existing Baleno. Front and rear has been completely revised.

To me this looks like an Amaze-ified Baleno. The front lip over the headlights looks like the Chrome lip Honda's got on the Amaze and the tail lamps are also Honda-esque.

Humph. I was hoping for a new gen Baleno. I honestly think the current one looks better than this. The current gen Baleno is a looker imo, except for the safety concerns, it's a near perfect car.

To me, it looks like they ran out of ideas and simply looked for inspiration in the form of their own Ertiga for the front and the WRV for the rear.

Is it just me or does the front design looks a lot like Seltos and some of Hyundai's designs? I hope it looks better and modern in real life.
