I hope the updates are a bit more skin deep, this time around.
MSIL should take this opportunity and 'fix' the horrible non-returning steering system of the Baleno.

They Altorozied the baleno. Trying hard to sharpen the face. With all rivals going towards new sharper designs, Maruti will also follow.

The grill continues to grow wider. Just compare the original 2015, the 2019 Facelift and this.
Don't know why but the front reminds me of some old Peugeot cars, with a wide grill merging into thin headlamps.
It's mostly the angle that these photos are clicked that the front looks wierd. Definately has a Ciaz wibe to it.

The rear looks incomplete without the Chrome Strip that divided the glass and metal in the current model. Those extensions on the tail lamp on the boot do look like an after thought.

Looks like MS is trying to make Baleno less bulbous in order to look sharper.
The front looks alright; not great but just alright but the rear doesn't look good and those tail lamps extending into boot doesn't seem to fit in.

Other than the cosmetic update I wish Maruti Suzuki would have addressed the safety aspects for this vehicle. After all it scored zero in Crash test ratings.

Somehow the rear design is not cohesive with the front, it should have been more sharper.

The strategies Suzuki employs is so predictable. When a car nears Launch, they start selectively leaking so called spy shots. I'd bet that we will see the next gen Baleno launching latest by March 2022.

I wonder if Maruti has done anything on the safety front. The looks seem good and the updated interior from previous spy images look decent as well. I hope it atleast comes with a 6 air-bag option. The Heartect platform probably is same so I guess not much to expect from that.

I wonder if it is a photoshop trick.Front does appear like Seltos grill has been attached. If grills were human expressions, this screams like the "Joker" to me

Is Maruti ashamed of its quality by now? Perhaps camouflaging the Baleno as a WRV from the rear and Tiago/Altroz looks from the front!
They seriously need to recruit new designers, specially after the new gen Celerio! It is hard to believe that Maruti actually gave us some very good looking cars like the old gen Baleno, Kizashi, First gen Alto and second gen onwards 800s!

I guess many from Tata have joined the Maruti design/styling department. The touchscreen placement is Tata'ish and so is the sharp dipping front bonnet and grill(like the new Tiago).Maybe they want to make the Baleno look more sophisticated to stand out in the crowd.

Overall it's a decent redesign. Although not really liking those WR-V-esque taillights, also it looks like someone has put white film on the existing Baleno headlights to make them look sleeker. That hood line doesn't look nice as well.
