re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

Basis all the grapevine and leaks that are coming out, it does appear that Tucson would be made available first. This will be then followed by Venue and Creta.
Hope the chip shortage doesn’t plug the delivery times when the Tucson is unveiled.

The alloys seems to be different from international market. These look ok but one on international model looks better.

The overall activity around Tucson looks very subdued compared to say, Meridian when both are in a way premium upcoming products.

Might be an indicator towards delay in launch??

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

In this new PowerDrift video about new SUV launches in 2022, Cyrus mentions in that the Hyundai Venue facelift is "just around the corner". But, no mention of the next gen Tucson! Though he mentions that he may have missed some SUVs, its strange that he missed this one in particular.

Also, if the Venue is "just around the corner", then the Tucson might not be the first new Hyundai launch this year as some are speculating.

My SA has been maintaining the same pitch that first Venue facelift will be launched and then Tucson will arrive. I am guessing Tucson is probably pushed to Q3, and will launch closer to Diwali. Which is funny seeing how these cars are already being made here and being imported to Nepal.

Some business decisions are hard to understand, but I am sure Hyundai has some logic behind it.

Read somewhere that Hyundai will debut ADAS in India with the 2022 Tucson. Can people in the know confirm this?

Tucson sales for Feb 2022 has spiked. With good sales of current generation, wonder if Hyundai would further delay the next generation Tucson launch

Tucson Sales:
Dec '21: 35
Jan '22: 48
Feb '22: 172

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

Was just going to write: what happened to the new Tucson, all seems quiet, despite the fact that we are almost to the second quarter of the year! I doubt they'll stop the new Tucson to sell the old one, but it does appear the chip shortage is playing havoc with their timeline (pure guesswork here, no specific knowledge). But very disappointed, all the same. At this rate, we can expect the car to be available maybe next year.

I’m actually seeing quite a few new Tucsons in my area. It’s always been a good car, I’m guessing people are now seeing it’s value post the launch of Safari, XUV700 and even the face-lifted Jeep Compass. The Tucson in my opinion is better value for money than a Compass, and it’s in the same ball park of a top end XUV700.

For me, engine wise it is no brainer to go for Tucson if opting for top end version [Diesel Auto HTRAC]. The current generation Tucson's interior feel dated when compared to some of rivals.

When checked with my Hyundai SA, it seems next generation is still targeted to be launched by Diwali if not sooner. I just hope they launch with beige interior options as well which makes car feel much roomier than all black. Since they are already exporting LWB version from India to Nepal, I'm assuming that's what they will launch in India but fail to understand why delay so much. If they launch early, they can capture market with all other competitors struggling to deliver vehicles.

On chip shortage, I don't see much of waiting globally(where they are sold in much higher numbers) and car is readily available, so not sure if that is playing a key role with respect to all delays.

These are the 18 inch ones. I had a feeling they wouldn't provide us with the maxed-out 19 inchers for ride quality reasons.

In other news, the next-gen Tucson has been spied again, and this time the point of focus has been the ADAS radar module.

Looks like Hyundai really is feeling the heat from competing OEMs. The wait for this car is killing me!

Does anyone know for sure if this is being launched in India as a 7-seater or only the 5-seater?
