I know looks are subjective, but Good lord, the new one is absolutely hideous. The older one looks so much classy. On that note what is it with Hyundai designers off late. It’s KIA twin - the Sportage looks so much better.

For me I feel 4th Gen looks better than the 3rd Gen both Front/Rear. I very much like the connecting Bar rear tail light. The hidden DRL in the front grill. In few months every one will start loving the new design of the Tucson then if you get to see the 3rd Gen tucson you will feel it's outdated.

Also I felt the rear light of the 3rd Gen Tucson resembles very similar to Elite i20 attaching the image for reference.

So Hyundai themselves provided the previous gen car also? That's pretty good! And given the news about long media drives, looking forward to a super detailed Team-BHP review.

Just for the comparison the media person might have got one from other source. But i don't think Hyundai could have provided one.

Did Hyundai skip rear wash/wipe on the 4th generation Tucson or am I missing something?

The rear wiper blades are neatly hidden in the rear spoiler checkout this video.

Checked that, 2020 model has a different price. 22.6 lakhs. This one says starts at 22.3 lakhs.

If it was to be true ... we are seeing may be special introductory price.

I looked up the number plate and its registered with Trident Automobiles, one of dealers in Bangalore. So Hyundai might have arranged for the same from its dealers as they have also been stressing on how roomier the new generation is.

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

Team, I love the chatter in this room and have booked one as well and it is a 2WD DSL Signature model with Advaith dealer in Bangalore. I have a Duster AWD which is 8 years old. The car served the purpose and now time to change to the latest. Wanting to have only a 5 seater but with ample space and good power along with the bells and whistles. My question is once launched, how long it may take for deliveries to commence? Any pointers from other new launches in the recent past?

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

On the price front- I think the difference between the two (Prestige & Signature) variants would be wider than before just due to the fact that the ADAS hardware would cost a lot. Current Tucson (3rd Gen) has an ex-showroom price difference of approx 1.5 lakh between variants of the same engine. I expect this to go up to around 3 lakhs between variants taking into account ADAS hardware + additional features, and also after taking a cue from XUV700 variant pricing.
Also, 3000 bookings is good, but not substantial enough for HMIL to take a leap of faith and price the new Tucson high. If they do, we may see a good number of cancellations, and good discounts next year.

It was stated earlier in the thread that there are only 500 CKD units being built per month as of now. And Hyundai tells that they have over 3000 bookings. So it might lend you a 5 month waiting period(since 500 would be built in current month) unless Hyundai somehow increases its capabilities.
