re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

Anything around 25 lakhs needs lots of scrutinization after XUV700/Scorpio N and that is the pricing strategy of Mahindra. I am better off with either of these as I am not liking recent Hyundai's product quality control at all. Grand i10 in the family has given lots of issues compared to the old Santro we had earlier gave none in those few years of ownership. Mahindras are easily manageable (except those electronics) compared to Hyundais. Service bills are notorious with Hyundai in the recent times. Tucson is a competent car especially in highways but Hyundai's A/S/S is a big turn off!

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

Got confirmation from my SA that car would be on display post official launch at specific signature showrooms. So view the official launch online and then head to showroom to see it in person . I just hope they start deliveries this month itself. July 2022 Tucson sales stands at ~170. I'm assuming these are mainly for the showroom display/test drive.

Nice to see the enthusiasm, always a good thing to see. Please update pics when you get to see the vehicle.

Now only pricing will decide how much enthusiasm will continue. Hoping for aggressive pricing!

My experience has been the exact opposite. My budget is 25 lac + and have been in the market for last 7-8 months. I think both Tata and Mahindra while give you lot of features at competitive price - for the discerning user (not masses) the quality or fit and finish as well as reliability is highly doubtful. I have 3 colleagues in my office who bought XUV700 and all three have run into one issue or the other, which entail numerous hours spent in workshop.

I have had two Hyundai cars now and have been super happy with reliability. No break down or issues (not even a puncture) - touch wood. the ASS experience really depends on the specific dealer / city and your relationship with the SA. it is always a mix bag no matter which OEM you choose. While there are news of Cretas and Seltos new cars running into issues just like the VAG cars, in my opinion the % of cases is much lower than some of the indian manufacturers who take up lacs of bookings and poor quality control relatively.

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

Received this link on my whatssp for the live Launch of the Tucson today 10th August, 4 PM.
I am confused as it's already got a soft launch, perhaps this is pricing information 'launch'. Sharing for those interested in tuning in today at ¬4:00 PM:

The stream should go live today around that time.

Is it 4:00 PM or 12:00 PM? I am looking at the Hyundai India You Tube channel and it says 'watch this space on 10th Aug, 12 noon'. See screen shot below. Wonder if there is a delay again.

Also planning to attend the launch event this afternoon in Gurgaon.

That is dealer hosted link and shows 9th August date. You can ignore the same. The soft launch was more of a media event. Today is official launch at 12 noon. Just use this link which is directly hosted by Hyundai:

I believe what you have been sent is the local launch by Arsh Hyundai and not the company launch.

MODS: Please feel free to merge with my previous post if you see fit.

So Hyundai makes all prospective customers wait for months together for the unveiling and finally the price reveal, yet doesn’t disclose the full prices of all variants in one go. Brilliant Hyundai India

Brace yourselves for the insane price hike for the Diesel 4WD + ADAS top-end variant. Not disclosing the prices completely means they are itself not confident whether the car is going to sell or not!
