What kind of launch was this . Extremely disappointed .

So earlier gen Tucson was starting from : 22.7
New Gen Tucson starts from: 27.7

That is a massive 5 Lakhs premium and that too without ADAS.

A very underwhelming launch of a great offering from Hyundai. Post the launch of VW Virtus, I feel the companies should invest and make their launches more desirable.
I really hope Tucson gets its due credit with this facelift

So this means on-road price would be easily 35L+?

I was hoping to get the base diesel 2WD AT for around 32. But that’s not going to be happening I think. Disappointed.

Yep, looks like Hyundai recalibrated their prices based on initial booking spree into a pit they dug for themselves. I'm sure cancellations would go north of 30% for this pricing fiasco.

Cheers,
Vijay

re: 4th-Gen Hyundai Tucson spotted testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 27.70 lakh

Hyundai is now trying to milk the demand for the mid size SUV segment but at a 5 lac premium, its not going to set sales on fire. Very poor launch as well

So basically they moved the pricing significantly. The price of new gen base model = price of top end of previous gen.

I don't know whether I'll keep the booking but will wait for all variant pricing to be out before taking call. Not impressed though.

Since the starting ex-showroom price is almost the same as the previous-gen AWD GLS, on-road price in Bangalore would be 35 lakh OTR for the base petrol. Wow, that's really optimistic of HMIL.

Looks like the pre-bookings gave the Hyundai management ideas to ride their luck by out-pricing the guesstimates ! I wouldn't be surprised if there are a large number of cancellations, including mine!!

That would be around 35l OTR in BLR for the base model.

So Hyundai makes all prospective customers wait for months together for the unveiling and finally the price reveal, yet doesn’t disclose the full prices of all variants in one go. Brilliant Hyundai India

Brace yourselves for the insane price hike for the Diesel 4WD + ADAS top-end variant. Not disclosing the prices completely means they are itself not confident whether the car is going to sell or not!
Completely agree - If they do not reveal all prices today, I think they are testing waters here and are unsure of the value of their product.

Atrocious pricing, HMIL not looking for volumes with this one looks like.
What is 27L base petrol Tucson offering over 19L Alcazar?
