Maruti Suzuki will be setting up its third manufacturing unit in Haryana.

The new factory will be located at Kharkhoda, Sonepat. It will be spread over 900 acres, making it Maruti's largest manufacturing facility in the state.

Maruti Suzuki currently has two manufacturing facilities in the state, located at Gurgaon and Manesar. The Gurgaon unit is spread over 300 acres, while the latter has a footprint of 600 acres.

Models like the WagonR, Ertiga, XL6, S-Cross, Vitara Brezza, Ignis and Eeco are manufactured in Gurgaon and the Swift and Dzire are built at Manesar.

Maruti's Sonepat unit is expected to come online in the next 2-3 years. It will certainly boost the company's production capacity. However, the exact figure is not yet known.
