When everyone is flooding the MUV segment , Hyundai is waiting for all the models to be launched . Then they will launch which is directly cheaper .
When everyone wants a piece of the cake will Hyundai just look !

if they price and position it right, it's going to be a sales charts scorcher, and that is precisely what Hyundai is great at. great interior space too. the looks are fairly unoriginal, but with a crdi engine who cares. it would be one hyundai id wait for and even buy one. i am a sucker for new generation diesel technology after all.

My bet is that the Hyundai Getz will be aimed straight at the Palio. Fiat dealer better pull their socks up. Currently, the Palio is the best small car in the market but, if their attitude towards customers dosen't change, they'll soon have to wind up and leave because the Getz is a good car.
I'm no fan of Hyundai, but, I know what can happen.

ya if the Crdi Getz is launched, it will surely beat the Palio. Theres no other diesel small car in that segment [the Zen is not counted]. The Getz also looks more modern and is as spacious as the Accent. And top it all theres Hyundais unbeatable A.S.S. The interiors are also very cool. And even though the Palio has been given a new interior broad, the new Palio still uses the old interior.

Fiat now really have a task on their Hands. They are infamous for their fuel efficiency and after sales service. The CRDI is said to be fuel efficient and of course ASS of Hyundai comes quite on tops apart from Maruti. I dont like Hyundai( like I must tell u ) but then theres no denying the fact that they indeed have a great service network .

Cheers

The Getz would have a local content of 85 per cent at the time of launch and would be manufactured here. It would be positioned in the upper end of the hatchback segment.

The Getz was available in various engine options, including a 1.1 litre, 1.3 litre and a 1.5 litre engine. The company might settle for a 1.3 litre engine to begin with. Initially, the Getz would be available only in petrol engine version and depending on market demand, Hyundai Motor India would consider launching a diesel version

If they come out with a 1.3 it just might turn out to be an Esteem and 13 Ikon beater. Maruti really have to put on their thinking caps. Just cosmetically changing the Esteem wont do. It needs a new model.

Dear Getz owners,
I recently bought Getz GVS. The car felt good on delivery but developed a faint engine noise on third day of delivery. This slight squeal is audible on pressing the accelerator. It vanishes as after car gains speed. The mechanic at the work shop says that there is no problem with the car. I want to know if you guys also hear similar sound on accelerating the car? Any reply help will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

I too have this on my 2005 Getz right from the day one. Stopped bothering about it. The noise, which occurs in the 1st gear, vanishes once the car gains speed and engine warms up.
