The Citroen C5 Aircross is due for an update and the facelift version may have just leaked online.



An image of a Citroen SUV is circulating on the internet which, some believe, is the new C5 Aircross. The image is a screengrab from the presentation video of the Citroen AMI Buggy concept.

The SUV appears to have two distinct LED daytime running lights with a square-ish grille in the centre, while the front bumper has a silver air dam.

The C5 Aircross was launched in India in April this year. The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 174 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 400 Nm @ 2,000 rpm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Citroen C5 Aircross face-lift:

With the facelift, the Citroën C5 Aircross gets a new driving mode selector to choose between Hybrid, Electric, and Sport, along with a second USB port and an extra storage compartment. A more important novelty is represented by heated and massaging front seats borrowed from the C4 and C5 X with an additional 15 millimeters of foam for improved comfort. The updated crossover comes along with Alcantara and perforated leather upholstery options.

The updated Aircross will go on sale in Europe in early summer

The design and interiors are classy, no doubt. However, I feel the rear wiper is way too small and won't be of much use.

Now thats an Aircross I would love to buy, it looks "modern"

If they can just fix the rear seat/roof so that the side of the head doesn't rub/bang against the roof. I think they should opt for a regular rear bench instead of 3 separate seats and that should fix the issue.

All in all an excellent package, they didnt price it aggressively when it was launched and obviously if the updated version shows up in India it will be priced even higher. They dont have a good dealer/service network either.

Looks real classy and modern. Just a small thing that’s too quirky for me - that angular central console. Seems off centre in an other wise well designed car!

WOW!

The first time Citroen caught my eye decades ago was simply because of their design. They have given a fantastic update to the C5. This design I suppose will get more traction than the current one which is not too bad.

2022 Citroen C5 Aircross: pricing and specification revealed.

Citroen has opened its order books and prices start from £25,515.

There are three specification levels: Sense Plus, Shine and range-topping C-Series Edition.

Sense Plus specification replaces Sense from the previous C5 Aircross. New standard equipment includes Pulsar 18in alloy wheels, a rear-view camera, keyless entry, keyless start, front and rear parking sensors and electrically adjustable mirrors.

Shine Trim gains comfort seats with Alcantara upholstery, video-assisted active safety braking, an Urban Black interior style and a drive assistance pack that includes adaptive cruise control. It costs £26,665.

Top-rung C-Series Edition trim is priced from £29,105. Citroën says it has been specifically designed for the UK, with a black bi-tone roof, a panoramic sunroof, a motorised tailgate and wireless smartphone charging. Each model is also equipped with an anodised bronze colour pack.

A full model launch and the first deliveries are expected to take place from June.

I second that though. Even if I could afford this car the placement of the console would violate vastu rules and be out of contention.

Hi,

If this is for the UK market, wouldn't it be a right hand drive model? The pictures are of left hand drive model. Also, for UK launch is Citroen adjusting the gear shift and other settings or leave them as they are ?

Citroen C5 Aircross facelift India launch by September 2022.

The French brand’s debut offering in India was launched here just last year, brought in via the semi-knocked-down (SKD) route, as will be the updated model.

Not sure how placement of the console would violate vastu. Also, in my limited knowledge vastu applies to houses.

Is Citroen competing in the wrong category here? I mean a Diesel SUV in Gloster and Fortuner price range? Would petrol/hybrid not give them a competitive edge?
