Now Honda launches Civic 1.8V with some goodies

Seems Honda has finally paid heed to some of the complaints of the customers and have now introduced the Civic 1.8V which has leather seats, turning lights on rear side view mirrors, fog lamps (at last !!) and a new exclusive colour (some shade of violet I think).

However, still missing is the lumbar support for the driver's seat (at least) and the variable intermittent wiper cycles.

Don't know yet about how much extra will Honda make the customer pay for the 1.8V though !!

yeah. there is an advt of the same in Times of India too.
it reads :
- plush upholstery
- turn indicators on side mirrors
- frong fog lamps
- 'misty violet color' (wonder why anyone would leave the BLACK and buy the violet color).

also the advt mentions 'G-con' : G Force Control Technology. (whatever that means)

cheers.

Good. Now the car is more 'fully loaded'.
OTR at Kolkata should be 12.3 ish for the MT & 13.2 ish for the AT.

The RS retails for approx 14 OTR here. Pretty close.

IMHO, this price increase is a bit steep. But then, Civics are selling like hot cakes. I dont think buyers mind paying 60k extra.

60 is ok but add that to an already steep price well now unofficicaly its more expensive than Sonata Embera ,but Does not matter it will still sell with fire works ,its HONDA AFTER ALL .
IT would have sold even if they kept the price of civic at 15 and accord at 18 lacks

Honda continue to take us for a ride

Common you ought to give us Lumbar support and Audio Controls on Steering which even the SX4 has.

IMHO, Honda should make foglights standard across all variants. Its pretty silly to buy a 13 lac car and not have fogs on it.

As someone said you cannot have audio controls all over the place. It was a nice touch for honda to give the volume controls in the back seat armrest.

Can we say just because its there in the Civic all other cars in that segment should have it in the armrest. Honda has followed a different strategy instead of following everyone.

On a side note, I need to find how to disable it, my friends keep messing with it. :-)

I however totally agree with the lumbar support.

I fully agree with you sir. Totall y absurd not to have fog lights when one is paying 13 lacs for a car..even for that matter not having leather seats in a 13 lac car..

Unfortunately thats typical Indian mentality... they don't mind spending on a honda inspite of it being ridiculously overpriced.

OT:.. I dont think all Honda's are overpriced.. Accord is definetely priced reasonably, going by the features/looks it has.
