When is Mahindra launching the Scorpio Eagle 2.2?....EDIT Now Launched

So when is the Launch Date ? Any news on this. I really want to give the New Scorpio a TD.

I've also heard end of this month. But if its going to have all the features mentioned by Shatrughna, i think they wont price it less than 14 lacs .....

hey got some infor from Oman
Scorpio will be having lots to offer in Luxury as Standard
Suspension is from Samlip Korea
Shocks Armstrong
Tyres Bridgestone
Locking mechanisms from Meritor UK
AC from Behr Germany

The petrol engine is a RENAULT all imported.

The vehicle is being tested alot in Oman over sand dunes, wadis and also in other countires. Got info that each vehicle is being tested to 1 milion kms

So Scorpio potential buyers watchout for a complete new beast
(All the new beasts are rolling out from Igatpuri plant) thats what my friend mentioned and he will be mailing me pics of the new model in testing. Waiting for them will post soon.

Thats a great news@ 2fast4u. more than the pics( unless there are radical changes in shape), info on real life issues will be appreciated - e.g. torque, bhp, transmission and much discussed bells and whistles- what are they, please.

Wow - this look really neat - After the Safari 2.2 launch - I have not been too impressed with TATA. Hope M&M does something nice with the new scorpio.

Eagerly waiting for any more updates.

I am not aware of what is present on the current models but this friend of mine mentioned to me and also said that since M&M are planning to launch Scorpio in US (in a big way) they are testing extensively on simulators as well as onroad.

lets wait and see. Launch dates dont know.

the eagle will become the vlx in the scorpio, expected to be 1-1.3 lakh OTR higher than the SLX version.

Release date Dec 07.

Hi Prabhuav, Could you do us all a favour and ask that India garage source whether the vlx trim to be launched in Dec 07 would also have the A/T as an option? Or will it come much later in next year (as we have been hearing). It'd be great if some of us can find out whether the Dec 07 will have the A/T too or not?
