If this news is true, then the spotted vehicle "can be" the new Innova!
Looks like parroting content. They are again mentioning TNGA-B platform. That platform is simply too small. Not enough for even a Triber size model, let alone something Caren size.

I'm quite sure this won't be a new gen Innova. Solely because if we're correlating it with the lifetime of the 1st gen Innova, makes it hard to believe that there would be a new gen Innova this soon.

It makes sense that Toyota will launch a "new generation" of Innova, with some cosmetics changes to justify a price hike and make room at the lower end for the rebadged Ertiga which is also rumored.

re: Toyota Innova Hycross, now unveiled

Any concrete news about next generation Innova? Whether it's just around the corner or there is still time for it to be launched.

Also, any updates regarding the hybrid powerplants in Innova?

Confusion on the next generation Innova: Is it really the project 560B, to be shared with Maruti Suzuki, or are we seeing 2 different models in the offing?

Toyota registers new name - Innova HYCROSS.

Is it for upcoming Innova hybrid?

I am thinking Innova HyCross (Hybrid Crossover) meaning something with monocoque chassis as opposed to the ladder frame on the current one.

re: Toyota Innova Hycross, now unveiled

The Innova is just one of the 3 products from a common platform (along with Hilux and Fortuner). This is what it has always been. It would be interesting to see if Toyota brings all 3 under a new monocoque platform- or "forks out" a monocoque Hybrid Crossover line for Innova only.

Waiting for more leaks to come through....my plans for a petrol innova now stands suspended. I can live with the beaten up Ertiga for a couple of more years for sure.

The detailing looks so much like Toyota Highlander. Love the size.

If Toyota indeed launches this with Petrol-Hybrid, it will be an instant hit. Price wise, it should be slotted in between Crysta and Fortuner.

Toyota Highlander size wise resembles the current Lexus RX-450hL which is a CBU priced at whopping 1.42 Cr (OTR, Bangalore). While the RX comes with 3.5L V6 Petrol hybrid, the Highlander may offer 2.5 L petrol hybrid like in the current gen Camry at a lower price point.

re: Toyota Innova Hycross, now unveiled

I don't know if it's just me, but I have this strong feeling that this is not the next generation Innova in the sense that it's going to replace the Crysta. First thing, this looks too small to be a crysta successor. Second, crysta is not due for a replacement, atleast according to Toyota standards. It might use the Innova nameplate, but when they already have a name as popular as that, it is only natural that they want this new model to piggyback on the legacy of the mighty Innova. My guess is that this will rather fill the void left by the last gen Innova and maybe overlap a little with the crysta's base variants.

re: Toyota Innova Hycross, now unveiled

Next-gen Toyota Innova (560B) to be radically different; expected launch by Diwali 2022.

- No diesel and only Hybrid Powertrain, delivering lower running costs than a diesel.

- New MPV will get monocoque chassis and front-wheel-drive.

- Will look different than the Crysta, the nose up front is flat, like an SUV

- Next-gen Innova: will be based on TNGA-C platform

- the MPV we will get could be loosely based on the 670B sold in Japan, to share many bits with Japan-only MPVs like the Toyota Voxy and Noah.

- The 560B, is likely to measure around 4.7m long, making it slightly shorter than the Crysta. It, however, should easily be more space efficient.

- More inner space than the Crysta, as it will be built on a longer 2,850mm wheelbase.

- Likely to be powered by a 2.0 hybrid, and possibly a localised version of the updated THS II (Toyota Hybrid System II)

- Will have a new moniker(double-barrel name) , will be a bit more affordable than the Crysta and is slated to be a high-volume car

- With an estimated production run of 5,600 MPVs a month, the new Innova is likely to eventually replace the Crysta
