I think I also see front parking sensor, but I might be wrong.
I don’t know if India is getting ADAS in the HyCross unlike the Indonesian market.

In the test-mules on test in India, there is a front camera for the 360 deg camera, right under the Toyota Logo.

The fenders will be getting the plastic claddings as well.

I am not sure why Toyota is providing LED reflectors. The projectors used for low beam in the current gen Crysta are too good, same could be implemented in an improved way for the high beams as well. I doubt how these LED reflectors would perform like in weather conditions like rain where many modern-day car headlights with LED setup lack.

re: Toyota Innova Hycross, now unveiled

With Hilux failing to perform well, there is a void in 30-40L price bracket given Fortuner now starts well over 40L. Looking at the ad and pictures, Toyota seem to be targeting 30-40L price bracket . I still doubt if Innova crysta would continue but if it indeed does, the top spec ZX variant might face the axe.

I tried enhancing the exposure of the image a little in Lightroom and got this result below: Looks quite sleek. Just the tyres looks a little small to me. Overall would be a good package.

The biggest competition to Fortuner currently is Innova Crysta itself. I am saying this from my experience. Many people settle for Crysta due to exorbitant pricing of Fortuner even though they are turned off by MPV styling and rudimentary features.
Now if you make Crysta feature rich and muscular as well, I wonder what will be the USP for buying a Fortuner.

Don't we already have clear no camouflage pictures of the hycross?

re: Toyota Innova Hycross, now unveiled

I'm somehow getting a feeling that this would turn out to be one good looking vehicle, both inside out. The car being a Toyota, good reliability and after sales is a given. Reasons enough to get excited and plan a visit to the showroom. I just hope they don't throw in obnoxious pricing into the mix.

Looks good with some rounded elements in the rear. They could have done the same to the front face.
I always thought they could use some design elements from Sienna. That would have been really good looking.

Lot of similarities with Highlander (attached), may be the rear end is a bit lower. Quite an interesting silhouette overall.

If this is a genuine leaked image, then it confirms front parking sensors.

re: Toyota Innova Hycross, now unveiled

I think this car is going to be a big hit in India. You get fuel efficiency that is superior to a diesel, more space due to the monocoque design, butch SUV looks from the front and no worries on Diesel car bans and DEF clogging issues. Plus, the 0-100 acceleration figures that are quite mind blowing. Granted the 7.xx second figures to 100 that the corolla cross does, are not achievable in the larger 7 seater, but I would not be surprised if it delivers an 8.5 second figure and that would but it in European sedan territory ! The power deficit issue faced by the Hyryder may be a non-issue with the Zenix. I am seriously now thinking of changing my booking for the Hyryder to one for Zenix The only thing that deters me is driving into the office parking lot in a minivan...

re: Toyota Innova Hycross, now unveiled

I think Toyota still hasn’t learnt their lessons from the 17 inch alloys in the first batch of Crysta’s. They are giving the HyCross 18 inchers with pretty low profile tires.

Would be happy to be proved wrong by Toyota

An area where I think the HyCross’ monocoque will differ from the Crysta/Fortuner BOF structure is how the third row folds. I feel the third row will fold flat into the floor like several other monocoque SUVs/MUVs. Will be a radical change from the Crysta.
