Hey guys,
Have you noticed the Skoda Octavia ads lately?? Look carefully at the small pic of the Octavia given below all the ads. It shows the new Octavia. You can easily recognise the new Octavia by the rear wraparound lights. So what does this mean???

No dont jump to any conclusions. Skoda has done such mistakes in the past with their ads. Once they also pictured the Superb in the Octavia ad.

The Skoda ad features a similar pic below the main pic.

Well, they won't be launching the new Octi any time soon. It only gets into showrooms in the UK in July this year. Plus, Skoda have a bunch of varients lined up for the present Octi such as the Automatic diesel, the 1.8 Petrol turbo (which is phaaat!!) and they're busy launching the Superb and the Fabia (next year). It took them forever to come with the L&K, so don't hold your breath for the New Octi just yet.

Plus, there may be a chance that when the new one finally does arrive, it could, atleast initially, be used solely as teh L&K model priced at about 15-16 lakhs, with the current Octi selling at the current 10.5-11.5. This makes sense as it gives Skoda a model in all price ranges -
6.5-8 : Fabia
10-12: Current Octi
15-16: New Octi
22-24: Superb

Who knows...

Yep,

they always use misleading pictures...... the popular pic that they always use (attached below) is actually an Octavia RS....

S350,

Either way, fact remains that they are showing a pic of an octavia RS in the place of an octavia.
IMO those are the only alloys that truly look good on the octavia!.... did the one u see have those alloys? (i doubt it..right?)
I have seen a octavia or two with the different front bumper, but it wasnt exactly like this.
Also, does the dealer give this option? the last i checked it wasnt so...

Hey rehaan, yes, the dealers do give the RS body kit as an option. It comes in parts - front spoiler, sills, wheel archs, rear lip & spoiler. Total package (without labour or alloys) costs Rs.65,000/- !!

The 16" smoked finish Skoda wheels cost Rs.60,000/- for the set. Bloody expensive if you ask me!

Even if u see ads of the C Kompressor in the papers by Sanghi Motors, its actually a C32 AMG thats pictured. I cant understand why these dealers/manufacturers dont picture the real cars.

BTW , who decides the pic of the avertisement??? The manufacturer orr the advt agency??
