Swift A pillars Blackend ?

Hi

Recently I am seeing a lot of swift in B'lore who have the A pillars ( the ones where the Front Windscreen ends on your right and left) in Black color, even when the body color is different? It appears to be a recent trend? Any particular reason attributed to it?

Original Models of swift didn't have this color?

On another note, Does anyone have any idea when swift is coming with the M series engine ?

Thanks

yes, i have a Vdi model and I have both the pillars blackened. its not a specific features but it kind of adds a difference to the overall look of the car., especially if you have dark sun films to your windows.

But sunfilms, You cannot have it on the front screen, isnt it. Its against the law, I believe,

As per my understanding, sunfilms upto 50% reduction in light are acceptable by Traffic police in BLR, Correct me if I am wrong

You can have a film put on your windscreen...there are legal as well as illegal (dark ones) available..Garware and couple of other manufacturers do market totally transperent windscreen films...They claim it cuts down glare and helps keep the car cool and in turn the airconditioning is more efficient. Do check with your local accessory store

In my opinion, swift without the blackened A pillar is pointless. The Cockpit effect is all but gone. So all LXi LDi owners should just paint their A pillars. Or just buy the car in Black!!

Manikjeet

Did you remove the BLACK tape on the pillar of your car ? Was just wondering if thats possible? Does it have any effect on the inside painted body color ?

I still prefer the A and B pillars with body color? Any idea how I can get it done ?

Thanks

The beauty of swift is its black A pillar & it goes well with all the color variants they have. LXi looks like a cheap car compared to its bros.

Make sure the tape is of good quality, local tapes shrink after something, leaving borders of adhesive.
