It might be the turn indicator, as I have observed a new trend of separating the turn indicators and reversing lights from the main rear light cluster in cars like Tucson and Grand Vitara/Hyryder.

On another note, if this actually is the turn indicator, I doubt its usability as the small indicator on the XUV 7OO is a problem for many.

This design looks weird from some angles and looks very futuristic from other angles, but then it happens with almost every car brand (except Mercedese & Porsche, they make beautiful & timeless car designs in my opinion).

This design will surely grow on people like me, as long as Hyundai doesn't try the cheap antics of cost cutting by making India specific model which are low of Hightensile steel and other essential structural safety features & only high on bling. There will definitely be more takers to Verna this time than City.

I am trying to like the front of the car. The grill area has some very random design cues like it was given to a small kid for designing. Like I cannot figure out how it connects with the whole design language of the car. The rear looks absolutely though!

The Slavia's and Virtus's 2022 models are available for a discount of more than 1 lacs and the City also is available for discount of around 50k for current year models. Need to see how the pricing is declared keeping this in mind.

My friend booked a MY23 Honda City VX MT (pre facelift model) yesterday. Discount received is INR 1.15 lakhs. If his current car is exchanged with the dealership then an additional discount of INR 20k will be given making the overall discount to INR 1.35 lakhs It's a very good deal considering the main so called additional feature provided in the facelifted VX MT version is ADAS which i don't think is practically usable majority of the time for our indian roads & driving conditions. Zero discounts on the facelifted version.

All manufacturers in the C1 & C2 sedan segment are in tremendous pressure now as they are trying to revive a dying segment & all cars in this segment are either new generation or facelifted models & have their own USP's. It's a buyers market again in this segment.

All brands are going guns blazing in this segment except for Maruti & to a certain extent Honda.

If the price of the turbo petrol SX MT variant is below 15 lakhs, this car is a done deal for me. In my previous posts I have said how bad the car looks but they were mostly from renders and a few bad quality pictures. Now seeing the actual to be released car in photos has changed my mind. Finally Hyundai no iMTs please.

I saw the second teaser, with the instrument cluster panel, on a large TV screen, and it looked way better as compared to what it looked like on the smartphone. True, the quiver of the accelerating rpm hand will be missed, but these are things one grows out of if there are other features that lend value to the overall performance of the car.

The new Alcazar 1.5 turbo petrol has been launched with a starting ex-showroom price of 16.74 lakhs. I’m guessing this would mean the starting price of the new turbo petrol Verna to be somewhere around the 15 lakh mark. This would make it the most fun to drive sedan south of 20 lakhs on road.

Both instrument cluster and infotainment system was cut, copy and pasted from the Kia Carens.

Wow! Heated seats in this segment is cool! Most people may think of it as unnecessary in a hot country like India, but those rare cold days will really call for its use. Especially in the north.

How I wish the instrument cluster of the Alcazar / Tucson were plonked in the Verna! That would make it a complete interior. From the last images, it seems ambient lighting is also part of the package.

Can't wait to see the car in flesh.
