To my amusement, SA completely denied having heard of any issues with DCT. When I asked if he has ever googled it, he replied that information on Google, or internet, shouldn't be always believed.
On further probing, he stated that DCT gives problem only when driven for 700-800km non stop. No issues in bumper to bumper traffic.

Coming to booking amount, Hyundai website says cancellation are subjected to 3000/- deduction. SA again denied any knowledge of this and I showed him that information on his own laptop.

Anyway, booked 1.5 DCT SX(O) in abyss black pearl. Paid 25000/- booking amount with a condition of 100% refund if booking is cancelled.

I did went to my nearest dealer which is Himgiri Hyundai and wanted to book the car as well in Silver. Since we have bought three cars from them already ,I was told that no money will be cut in case of cancellation.

My wife stopped me from paying the booking amount as she wanted to first see the car in person (Same thing happened with our Jimny booking as well). I will be booking the top end DCT as well in some time.

She is a looker- 160hp, dual tone, manual, hope Hyundai prices it well. I've repeated the spec sheet so many times- Fellow readers might I am a bot

Hyundai don't make us wait a year for an N line - Give us all the mechanical changes with the original launch.

The New Verna, if the above pics are true, looks good.

Some things which I hope Hyundai gives this time to the Verna:

1) Min 4 star rating with good build quality
2) Good Back seat space for 3 people at back
3) Good boot space ( 500 l min)
4) Good brakes and high speed stability
5) A suspension which is neither too soft nor too stiff. It should be perfect, should inspire confidence at curves.
6) Decent headroom for people who are 6 feet tall.

ON Road Price between 11 to 21 lakhs will be a sweat deal as Hyundai is giving a moster engine along with all the gizmos. I hope hyundai has taken the above changes, especially safety seriously as customers can't be fooled anymore.

I would be glad even if points 2, 4 and 5 are addressed. Not hopeful about point 1(though love to be proven wrong). Not very particular about the other 2.

Rear looks dope!
I just hope the wheels look proportionate since the car is much bigger now.

The 160hp turbo engine and better interior space are the two reasons why we’re thinking to exchange our 2 and a half year old Verna for this new one.

The headlamps have met, tail lamps have met. What remains to be seen is, when will lights wrap around the sides too, where the headlamp, indicator and tail lamp are also covered with a streak of light, and then it could just be like any Jazzed up Private bus

It doesn't have the grace and beauty that the previous gen Vernas' had.

Hyundai appears like harmonizing the design between ICE & EV. After this gen, the next Verna could be EV.

What is with the 3 stripes just below the light.

Just an unnecessary element which ruins the look even further. The car does not look that good, especially front. I don't know why but the new verna looks like a chinese car..

Looks a Chinese EV from front, rear design has been overdone too. Hyundai designers need to be stopped praising for ruining the looks of cars people have loved till now. Verna older generations were a looker specially in black. For me this looks bad from almost all angles except the side.
