The height seems to be the same as the old Verna, what then of the GC? I was also hoping better head room for the rear seat passengers, but guess that may not be!

I guess the led bars are in nowadays.
I have seen countless Ertiga's & XL6's with led bars on the trunk fitted after market.

Nios also comes with reflector bar, but I am sure the after market must have started fitting those with led bars.

The red brake/reflector lights in the truck are manageable. I am more concerned about the white light in the front. That will cause glare in both OVRMs and IVRM -as if morons with high beams aren't enough.

Extremely disappointing, I'd say. Those digital watch like numbers is Pulsar level cluster. The VAG 8 incher is much beautiful in comparison in my opinion. Even the older Verna was better than this I'd say. Hated this cluster on the Carens and the Venue.

Don't know how to say this but this does not mimick the traditional revs going up in the circular display which is available in VAG ones. That to me is just inferior.

Is it just me or anyone else with me on this ?

Just an unnecessary element which ruins the look even further. The car does not look that good, especially front. I don't know why but the new verna looks like a chinese car..

On a close inspection, i feel the 3 bars/stripes below tail lamp might be the indicators

Agree. But then even the moon has its pockmarks. You cant have a spacious futuristic looking comfortable sedan with 500 litres of boot space and 160 ps on tap within 25 lakhs and also get the delightful instrument cluster from the Alcazar/Tucson. Something's gotta give. I am eagerly anticipating the dealers quoting 6 months waiting from the next week onwards, something that's become de-rigeur these days.

I agree, that cluster is one of the best here in mass market cars. Alcazar seems VFM just because of that to me
but I think even the digital cluster from current Creta SX (O) would've better than this. That's not an unreasonable ask I guess...

How can a company suddenly change the design language so drastically? Except for the weird looking first gen Verna, all the subsequent generation Vernas were not only good looking but also extremely desirable simply due to design elements. Suddenly it looks like the designers have had some kind of shock and gone disoriented to design such cars. Ditto for creta. It's first generation used to be such a smart looking car. Now seltos has an edge in the looks department. I sincerely wish it looks better in flesh than in the pics.

In fact, the new Alcazar also has 160ps its really a user preference of body styles.

I would say the car looks too stylish that it looks like a huge toy. Hyundai is known for these types of antics and i felt the same with latest i20. Now it has become a common sight. Couple of years after launch, Verna too will become common.

Did you really place the Verna at 25lakhs on purpose? They might not as well launch it cause that's probably a good 4-5lakhs over the Slavia 1.5DSG.
