Have Skoda Fabia bookings started?

Hi,
My neibhour today told me that bookings for Skoda Fabia started (hyderabad) and would cost around 7-8 lakhs. He booked two Fabia's already (one for him and one for his friend). He said that, the bookings only available for existing Skoda customers. Of course, my neibhour owns a Laura and Octavia. What about other cities?

That explains the blue Fabia doing rounds of the city with no camouflage. Have spotted this several times and my friends kept arguing that it was the swift in a new colour.

I do not know about other cities. Guys from other cities have to check for this.

I do not have any information about the versions. My neighbour booked diesel version. I believe there is a petrol version also.

thats a little strange... We dont even know the engine specs, interiors... and bookings open for only skoda customers.. and no indications of the launch dates either..or do they plan to do it the bullet way send out limited numbers to distinguished skoda customers to iron out issues..

may be,

Skoda thinks only its customers are foolish enough to book a car without knowing engine specs, colour options, price, trim level etc. Cant imagine...

lets be fair. people who are spending 7.5 lacs DO KNOW WHAT they are buying. they will be knowing the specs. its just it is not open for the general public.

... well those who are beta testers knows the system requirements etc lol .. so SKODA will only provide the specs. only to its customers. They are only targeting their trusty customers whom they have been fooling for so long just kidding lol..

Perhaps its Marketing strategy to create a premium tag for the car, anyways at 7-8 lakhs they are going after a very niche segment and even if its diesel I doubt this will have any takers.

7-8 lacs? you mean SX4 territory? whoaaaaa! thats way too expensive for a hatch much like SRV. perhaps its core strength would be acclaimed mileage and safety (abs/airbags), but hey common, isnt that a bit of an overstretch for a hatch still ???
