The Skoda Auto website does't have any info on the Fabia. Is it the new Fabia?
And booking only for those having Skoda already??? Its preposterous. If this is true, I'm sure, other prospective buyers would be intimidated by this and will keep off from Skoda. At least this makes me think to keep off from Skoda.
And 7-8 lacs? Thats toooooo much. Its bigger than Swift. But still its way too high.

It is really interesting. But, we have seen skoda fabia being tested and some photos elsewhere in other threads. May be they are launching it soon.

Regarding the price, it is a approximate price. May be the price is for a higher version.

7-8 lakhs is too much!

Skoda or whatever, common people will always mistake it for a Swift!

First thing's first Car is definitely expensive... and Skoda, as far as I know... good mileage but high maintenance coz the spares are really expensive. So on the whole... while we are on the road we might say "Hey look, it's Fabia... that guy must be filthy rich or otherwise really stupid coz what kind of a person buys a hatchback for 8lakhs in India "

Completely agree...this seems to be like real estate....pre-launch offer. Seems like all the hype is created by property dealers

why not buy SX4 or City or Ford Fiesta NOW rather than wait for an unknown period for an untested car with unknown specs??

Also for the guy who paid 50k 2 years back...he would have earned 10k as interest on the booking amount by now. Bad move IMHO

No DSG? Ugh! Skoda I don't mind if the DSG is optional by 1 lakh. I'll get it. Skoda is a premium brand and so I dont mind paying the extra.

Outside India, on skoda's own turf, this would be considered as a joke.

^ What? Just 54 ps for the petrol unit? I was talking about the Fabia diesel unit. I hope it has sufficient power.

-------------------------------------------------------

and inspite of this silent launch and availibility to Skoda owners there are people who have gone ahead with booking Fabia just on the laurels of its parent company .... without even a TD .... thats baffling.

And i think from marketing perspective, Skoda should be more keen on non-Skoda people.
