deliveries will start by the 3rd week jan 08, the range topping diesel model (1.4) will cost less then 7.7 on road mumbai and will have a sunroof, projector headlamps,16 inch alloys, rear parking sensors in addition to the other standard features. Suprisingly leather is not standard.

the above info is from a friend who went for the sales training camp for the fabia yesterday, he said it felt much quicker than the swift and its acceleration was a notch below the getz. But the bottom end torque was really good. Overall a much better car to drive than swift and the getz.

The pictures posted are for old Gen Fabia - and pictures are also bit old... This was the Fabia scheduled to be released in 2005/6.. We would be getting the new generation Fabia - as in Škoda UK - Home Page

Quicker than Swift, but slower than Getz?

I thought Swift was faster than the Getz!

hey crazy driver, your thought is wrong. he is comparing the diesel version, so the new getz diesel is 110 bhp with VGT. so now what does your thought say. but, i don't think even fabia can be faster or even quicker than the getz.

hey bro, thats good news, if the top end diesel with all those goodies costs 7.7 lac on road in mumbai than in delhi it would cost around 7 lac on road and even lesser in gurgaon. this is great news.

7.7Lacs for a hatch with legroom less then the Getz is not going to work trust me. Once the GP comes all the cars will look a notch below.

Question is when is GP going to launch here? GP is a sweet looking car and they should be making haste in launching their car. If UVA, Indica with the same engine and Fabia come to market before fiat GP, they will loose substantial number to customers.

Oops! My mistake. Thought about the petrols only.

BUT, can anybody tell which 'diesel' engine are they planning to launch, and its specifications?

I dont think - Xenons, sunroof, leather will be available on any model.

Alloys would be on the top end version. And I hope they give electric adjustment for the ORVM's and climatronic (top end). Bas. Not asking for much.
