All,

The scene has changed in the six months, right? Or has it? The Swift D has a 3-6 month waiting period, even today I am told.

Anybody, anything as an update?

BH.

What is also interesting is that, Swift is selling 7 times over the 2nd best seller in the segment.

I dont think Maruti has a choice other than bring in SX4 DDiS-

1. After the launch of the Swift Dzire, SX4 sales figures have gone down as it offers almost all the features with a much needed diesel option.
2. The new Honda City looks like its going to be bigger, better and expensive than the current one. Maruti could price the SX4 DDiS direct against the Honda City, where the diesel advantage can try to even out the Honda brandname.

1.9DDiS for the GV ,that is sheer injustice. They should give the 170 hp 3.0 JTD for the GV to do justice for that wonderful machine.

They better resolve their present waiting period for Swift, SX4 P, Dzire before they launch any new models.

I dont think MSIL has any immediate plans of SX4 DDIS launch. They already have A-Star , Splash to be launched . I think after wait period of Dzire slows down maybe they will give it a shot. But does MSIL have any plans of launching it 1st of all in the near future? I read in some interview that MSIL has no plans as of now. Hope Ram could throw some light in this matter.

guys i had read somewhere that maruti will be launching only 2-3 models in one year(till 2010).now this year we have seen dzire, and are expecting splash and A STAR any time this year.

also the diesel demand is very high and MSIL is facing problems in despatching vehicles.

do you still think that SX4 DDIS will be launched soon.?

i read in rediff that dZire and Swift Diesel current demand may result in posponing SX4 Diesel (it means Maruti is unstoppable in selling Diesel cars.)

Its not coming before Diwali 2009. I hope that N2HC ( NNHC ) will make SX4 sales suffer and soon we will have the diesel SX4.
Otherswise Maruti wont be coming out soon with diesel SX4.

A Different SX4

Now That is a different SX4 presented to our boys on their ODI win at SL.

Is it a VGT or a Sports VVT?

Its been gifted by Maruti Suzuki. Are they launching it here?

looks to be VVT, I don't think maruti can launch the DDIS version of the sx4, till they clear the backlog for Dzire. And then there are launches like Splash next year with the 1.3 DDIS- so they have their hands full!

The badging looks like it reads 'VVT'.
I assume Maruti would stick to the DDiS tag for their diesel variant.

I love the design of the Alloys . It is such a refreshing change from the one that is presently being handed out with SX4 !
