Jaguar F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 bookings open in India

Jaguar has started taking orders for the F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 in India. The Edition 1988 name pays tribute to the racing success of the World Sports-Prototype Championship-winning XJR-9 in 1988. Only 394 units will be produced for the entire world.

The Jaguar F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 is finished in Midnight Amethyst Gloss exterior colour with Sunset Gold Satin detailing. The SUV also gets optional Champagne Gold Satin 22-inch forged alloy wheels.

Inside, the limited-edition model gets Sunset Gold Satin detailing and a ‘One of 394’ SV Bespoke commission graphic.

Under the bonnet is a 5.0-litre, supercharged V8 engine that develops 543 BHP and 700 Nm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and features an all-wheel-drive system.

This might be the last times we see a purely petrol V8 F-Pace. I feel like the next generation of Jaguar and Land Rover performance cars will likely be PHEV V8's or Hybrid V8's.

That's what I was wondering too, possibly only in the low single digits.

It looks amazing, that colour and the gold accents really go well together and match the livery of the 1988 car.
