Ok so as usual, I got to the news stand auto,
And ask him for ACI,OD,BSM,AI,

AI wasnt here as yet so took the other 3,
Lookin at the cover i was like ah looks like all stale news,

So first as usual i open ACI,
And read HS's first page and when i read his sentence sayin'C class loses sales due to it's size' well mr horamzad with all due respect C class does lose a bit of it's sales not due to its size but the fact that it costs about 10L more!

Anyways i ignore and go ahead, a few pages and everythin looks BLAH BLAH BLAH...Old news,
Cuz oh it's the E270CDI,
who cares i knew abt it on TB almost a month back,
Oh its the tavera,
Who cares we already discussed it,
Oh its elantra v/s other C+ segment cars... again who cares man we already have had our votes and thoughts on the car...

So a bit of news here and there agan which we heard of already on TB,

then i take BSM and Yaawn,
Jeep is comin back,
did they even know it might not ? and even if it does can they even mention the price right?

but who cares already red abt it in TB,
then there's ferrari comin to india,
Again we knew more lol,

then there's the new city Vtech,
which we knew of already,

The petra,
old news again for us at TB,

And then the main thing abt E class v/s old E,
HAHAHAAHA
HAHAHAHAHAH

WE already have had our poll on that one too,
Not just 124 / 211 but we also included 210,
Which has one king's vote that is me lol,

oh man,

And similar stuff in OD
Yeah porsche comin to india,
etc etc,

Man man,

now none of this is meant to insult any magazine,

But im wondering if next month on i shud spend any money on these magazines,

Hail Team Bhp,
man this is the time all here can say,

We're light years ahead

And the lamborghini Police car made me feel like a joker lol,

shame that we cannot predict stock markets lik we can predict magazines articles. Do note that most mags do say complementary things about every car due to 1: ad revenue 2: free junkets 3: chance to drive the next latest car

I honestly think that the BSMotoring article on the W124 vs the 211 is the best article I have read in a long time. Also I do agree with Hormazd that the C sells less coz of its small size. It is cramped at the rear. The Accord is however of E-Class proportions. The 10 lac price differential is a reason..sure...but 10 lacs for a smaller and less powerful car?

Yes!

The C is small cause it's intention is for it to be a nice City car,
Smaller but better engineered,
Less power? But refined from both the 220CDI and 200K,
Build quality,
Safety,

Heck even the body shell,

and then on top of everything comes the THREE POINTED STAR

Enough said,

Lol S350,

You are contradicting yourself with this one!.....normally you complain when ACI puts "price" as one of the cons of any merc they test

And i do tend to agree that the C is just a tiny bit too small.

Also, i still enjoy reading car mags, even though the chances of getting groundbreaking news is unlikely, (you have to keep in mind they have a 30+day buffer between issues) whereas TBHP takes 2minutes to post on!
But they still have some good info and opinions and are worth a read IMO.

The difference between a mag and a forum is, in a mag you get it only from the writers and editor's point of view and we all know how sugary they can be. In a forum, you get to listen to ppl who actually have the vehicle, know of ppl who have it or something like that. This month's OD carries a front cover pic of the kangoo which they say is something suitable for small indian families and all that cock and bull stories. Well if it was so good for India, why isnt it being discussed over here. Coz no one is interested in something that looks like a cross between a kangaro and a platypus and will perform like a constipated wild buffalo. Mags r far away from reality. Maybe each of the mags should have their chaps logged into t-bhp to know what the enthusiasts really want.

no no rehaan i get pissed when they say mercs are over priced and stuff,
And the time at the back when ACI write's 15,000-20,000 discount available thats utter rubbish for s class man,

And what im tryin to say is im quite sure C class does not really lose much to the accord due to size,
I mean look at this scenario for a C class buyer,
Ok i want a nice luxurious car for the City,
Hmm maybe ive owned an E class,So i know it's too big for the city use,
Even if i havent owned one,
When i see the accord and it's dimensions it's clearly large,
Thats when the C suits best,
People need to know what the C is for,
It's not abt rear space or something,
It's a pure small luxury car!

and rehaan another complaint i have is a point that i dont think rightfuly C shud be put in D segment,
I mean come on if merc launched E200K with a price diff of just abt 3 lacs it shows people here care a lot of a little difference in price which is why i think people who have a C in mind dont really think of the accord/camry/mondeo/sonata,

I know someone when they bought the C their only other option was the 3!
