Usually for most of the CBUs, prices in India are a little more than double that of in US. This one is more than three times and hence my comment about unrealistic pricing.

hell... I would be a potential customer myself had I the cash to boot. This thing is amazing, the goodies that come along. Only, I dont somehow like the looks of any of the mitsubishi jeeps. I in fact sat in the montero in the auto expo '06 and it felt wierd. The safari has got the best 'jeep' feel from the drivers seat.

Unfortunately there are enough buyers willing to pay the high price. This puts it out of reach for us mere mortals.
1.You are getting is 2007 model
2.You are getting a diesel tranny unlike Prado in India (one of my close relative had to import one )
3.You are getting a fully loaded version

There maybe many a reason for tagging it overpriced but if you just analyse the vehicle as a whole , I think at 35 it makes good sense. If I had the Mullah , there would be one in my parking lot right away .

HM finally gets its acts right. I would certainly get one whenever possible. Toyota seriously needs to rethink its model positioning and price now.

A wonderful product. What's next ?evo?

I have been told that there is a lot of body roll in the current Montero compared to the classic 2.8l Pajero. Any feedback? And given that the new Endeavour has been launched, how would that compare with the Pajero 2.8 which is 21lakhs OTR?

AFAIK, its 120% still it comes to under 77k, i guess they are charging that extra for the after sales service they want to provide

why didnt you all ask the same question when the Prado was launched at this price? why didnt you ask the same question when CR-V's price tag jumped?

We pay 120% for them and the govt. why?. They should bring it in CKD instead of CBU, that will save a lot of duties.

Also these cars are bought By another league of people and treat these cars as maruti's, no need to lock them clean . Perhaps if someone can pull out the sales figures from SIAM for these high ended vehicles !!!!
