I was reading a magazine and in it says that there is a new SUV coming from Hyundai called TUCSON does anyone have any knowledge about it like when is it coming and few pics if possible.

* * * * * Tucson was introduced in this yr at Chicago.It comes with 3 models GL, GLS, LX. There's a choice for 4 or 6 cylindered Tucson.
GL comes (4 cylinder) 140bhp or 2.7lt , V6, 173 bhp, with another option of 2WD or 4WD. GL costing bout 17000$(2WD) n LX 4WD for 22000$ dont know about pricing in India.

well again.. i dont think Hyundai has any plans to launch it in India... its just the Magzine`s decieving info!

There have been reports of this car coming to India for sometime now. To be priced in the 12-15 lakh category, its meant to compete with the Endeavour, the dying Forester and CRV.

Do i see it coming to India? Its possible, why not. With the Terrarcan at 20+ on-road, a 4-5 lakh difference is big in the 10-20 lakh segment. If Hyundai even manage to sell 100-150 vehicles a month like Ford and Honda, at 1200-1800 units a year, it should bring them good profits as well as expand their product line with no major cost inputs. The Crdi engine 2.0 is already available and so is the 2.7. So costs for both engine assembly lines as well would be recovered earlier due to faster depreciation.

Its upto Hyundai now. Provided they complete their expansion plans in the factory soon.

And i have doubts it will beat CR-V,
I think indians' now have a soft corner for Honda,
