Exactly my thoughts. The design eeks of DC all over..

Looks like one confused SUV/MUV... The present Trax / Gama looks better in comparison...IMHO..

Seems that the misic system of the yellow Trax is singing DC. DC. DC over and over again. This is how you go about ruining Good/OK shapes. Atleast the old model Looked Business.

Has there been any progress since then? Anyone have an idea if Force is planning to come out with the new Judo any time this year?

Even in boom times, Force motors is perfectly content to simply keep selling what they have. Now with recession, focus on HCV, loss of Mercedes links etc., that will be the case. Of non-HCVs they focus on traverler bus/van which is their bread & butter.

It is not as if they are not selling much. Both Traveller vans and the Toofan/Gama have regular and loyal client base. Traveler is No.1 choice for tour operators, who spend Rs.4-5 lakhs on AC, DVD system, change seats etc.

Recent trip to Darmastala area was an eye opener. In the parking lot, you see so many of them parked, even more than Sumos and Taveras. This is an easy market to serve, high profits, low costs and no one asks for even power steering, let alone comfortable seats/AC.

My guess is they are waiting for emission norms tightening in 2010 before giving up on this trusted engine to introduce new engines.

Check out the last line item in this
...::: Welcome to Force Motors : Products Section :::...

"Available in Black Colour (Denoting Strength and Authority)"
They are mentioning black as though its some form of translucent pearl finish never before made available on cars anywhere.
Whats wrong with these guys ?

Trax is one hunk of a machine which is practical in the rural as well as hilly terain. It needs a fresh looks but what can the fresh looks translate into -more volumes, different set of mass to buy them, enrich the company image, compete with the likes of scorpio, rhino etc which it would never be able to..I dont get the point here as to why should it be changed.A low cost (regarding investment to the company)modification which can give it a fresh look is always a welcome but creating the designs like what they have show cased would be a futile effort.

very tacky looking plastics
not really well engineered, given the "fit and finish" of competing brands in today's market.
