I agree. The best handling car in that segment till date is the Lancer...what a chassis! If only that car had a 1.8 with manual gearbox.

its an ordinary looking car with loads of power for me.
i just cant help laughing at those morons in esteems with loud music at sum of the signals here in mumbai, who feelthat here is a humble zen .when i race them they cum to know that real music is from the exhausts.
done this many times to some carb esteem and zen drivers.
on my recent drive to mangalore ,i had this dude in a lancer with all spoiler, side skirt ,and even a vent on his bumper ,but the poor chap just cud not race my simple zen.

well ideally i would like a car that's relaxing to drive, holds its own on a track and pretty good bang for the buck too. something that i would enjoy on the twisties too. something like say..umm... a 911 Carrera (2, not the 4s). i really hate to show my cars off, keep it plain and understated. as long as i kow what my car is capable of, i really have nothing to prove to anybody or please anybody else too.

hey gto i am not aruguing abt ur vtec, i know it's a really great car,but here no one is discussing driving pleasure,
i personally dont like racing on roads, but can kick their ### on a briggs and straton gokart

driving pleasure is diffrent and not relevant to this topic, this topic is abt racing or showoff where racing means u choose vtec or showoff means u choose sfxi

I wudnt mind a rusted, battered etc etc car as long as the mechanicals are intact.

those are rusty alright...but they got no engines!! If you love to just drive or race, and nothing else, i guess its ok, but if you like all aspects of the vehicle...you wouldn't want a beauty like that in such a terrible condition!

spare the macho bullshit...you know you actually want a vehicle in decent condition!

Aadix,

I doubt most Vtec owners have bought it to prove a point. And yes, coming back to the meat of the matter...almost all cars "that are competitive on the track" will provide me with driving pleasure!

Contrary to what people think, a Vtec is not only about racing. Its a very practical day-to-day car...extremely enjoyable to drive in the non-Vtec band also (though incomparable to 5000+ rpm)

that was supposed to be the condition that Tom mentioned. Seriously rtech, if the mechanicals are in good condition, i wudnt mind owning/driving the car.

P.S. : it shud have seats windshield etc etc . Not EXACTLY like the above pictured car.
