Team,
Good news!! Good News!! but with a little pinch.
To-day I visited my dealer for the delivery and told him to please confirm as I cannot more than a week to get the car. To my luck one swift lxi booking got cancelled so I booked it immidiately. I will get the car delivery next week as it is in transit already.
The pinch here is I booked for Vxi but I am getting Lxi that to Iridium Gold. But I think I can live with all that.

Though he is worried about resale, my friend is actively considering U-VA now.
I had driven U-VA and found it generally good. Back seats are great, gear shift is not bad, GC is better than swift, boot space is better. What about mileage? Does U_VA really give better mileage than Swift? Not sure how much we can believe this, but as per ACI it is the other way. |
Repeating the question, no body has information on U-VA?

Siva, so far only one BHPian (Eatmydust) owns a U-VA, but he is bit busy now, he scraped his new Car while parking at his Apartment & I feel he is running around to get it repaired.
Maybe you can PM/Mail him and get his feedback.

Thanks Finney. I will check it with him.
even in delhi even though the swift petrol is available readily ...they still want you to wait and wait so that they can show the success of their product as a longer waiting period means a successful product in the market
Why this long waiting period in Bangalore alone ?
In Cochin, the waiting periods for the Swift are :
LDi - Less than 1 month
VDi - 1 month
VDi with ABS- 45 days
Petrols - 1 month(max)

Deal done! Last saturday, dealer offered a VXI with ABS to my friend and he readily accepted it (He was originally not looking for ABS).
You know what I got lucky. Day after tomorrow I am getting the delivery somehow managed for Silky Silver with my dealer that too with ABS. Persistent effort works :))
One question do we get any kind of number which indicates our waiting number and how many other are ahead of our booking? As i recieved only reciept against my booking no number which indicates my status in booking lot :(.
You know what after reading the posts suddenly I am feeling very privileged. cause I could choose between 4 available colours of Ldi model . Also I had an offer of Gold colour Vdi (off the shelf). In kolkata (atleast when i bought my Swift Diesel) there was only a waiting period for Vdi and not for Ldi .Moreover In my case it was the reverse I booked a Swift Petrol vxi w/o ABS but switched to a Swift Diesel Ldi as the car was readily available ;) ! i am glad i went for it , no regrets yet .... . At that time my dealer kept telling me that all swift petrols have been delayed as they were being factory fitted with the new icats technology that maruti is offering, Dont know how genuine his words were though ......
If anyones interested in VXI Ozone Blue in BLR, PM me. Got news that its ready in stock
Thanks
Ram P
