Hey guys,
My bro just got himself a new car. Well not exactly new....second hand. The car is a Zen FF.
Hmmm * So whats FF, u ask??
FF as in Free Flow. *Anyways when we bought the car FF was in a pretty bad shape. Really needed a coat of paint. We got it quite cheap [dont ask me how much]. Our initial plans were to "do up" the car and sell it. So we decided not to spend much on it. So we got it painted with the original color.

My bro had no plans of buying a car [atleast this year]. Its only at one of the 2nd hand used car mela did he get the topic out abt buying a 2nd hand Matiz. My dad said that Matiz is a good car but since the company's closed down, spares will be rare and expensive. So my dad asked him if he was interested in keeping the Zen. *And my bro said OK. But his OK does not work in my house. Both my dad and bro needed approval from the Home Minister [mom, of course]. And you wont believe mom agreed.

By the time we got approval, the painting had already started and so my bro cudnt choose his choice of paint [red ]. Almost 3 weeks in the garage and FF got ready last week.

Mods on the FF include free flow, low custom seats. One thing I have to mention about the seats. They are kind of multi layered so that each layer can be "bent" downwards. I dont quite understand the use of that. But its very comfy. The car has power windows. But the previous didnt do a good job while installing it. *Quite bad fittings. Seat rails were also not properly done. Though we have kept the original intact, all these stuffs will be sorted out after the rains.

The reason for not doin any major mods or work on the car is that its not yet 100% decided whether we r gonna keep the car or no. *There are plans of buying a *1986 Toyota Cressida Station Wagon which is in a very very good condition with original paint. *So if we get that car, FF goes and another Toyota will join the Qualis.

Hey V12,

Was the free-flow a motivating factor in you choosing this car? Congrats on your latest purchase, and whether you keep the car for a short or a long time....enjoy it while you have it!

Same story at my place too . These women, they make it seem like we are the bosses....but the truth is - they have the men wrapped around their little finger.

Cant wait to hear you revving that free-flow at the next Team-BHP meet. Or wait, can we borrow it to Panchgani?

GTO

Hmmm. The free flow wasnt the only motivating factor. It was the engine which was in very good condition. And then the free flow.
