Cooling vent right next to where you will be charging your phone is a nice touch. Don't need to worry about it overheating and the phone lowering the charging speed now.

Facelifted Tata Safari spied testing in S Korea!

Any news about the global NCAP ratings for the 2023 Safari? There were discussions on why the earlier generation safaris did not go through the NCAP tests as a major structural change was required under the hood to ensure a successful test.

I thinking about the facelifted version that is likely to be launched later this year.

Haha, that could happen potentially. I am still skeptical about the 15L turbo petrol on this large vehicle, not sure what the performance numbers are going to be. I hope it isn't a guzzler!

Tata announced that the 1.5-litre T-GDi unit puts out 165 BHP and 280 Nm, which is pretty decent. Also lets take into account the aluminium petrol engine will be much lighter than the Fiat diesel unit.

For me it is the \____/ shaped bit above that is more of a bother.

Not just pointless, those grab-handles are the definition of ornamental stuff. Guess they porposefully did the meshing detail so that no one grabs onto it for support.

It would be a wasted opportunity by Tata if they didn't address that ergonomically disastrous dashboard issue that fouls with knee caps. Especially for taller drivers like myself, the dashboard design was the single biggest drawback for me which swung my decision away from buying it.

Modifications needed in BiW due to Fiat Engine have been incorporated and probably results of NCAP Crash Test would be announced soon while launching of face-lifted Harrier & Safari.
