there is no need to camouflage them since the whole world has seen them at the auto expo.

karan - they have probably delayed the launch to sort out niggles which is a good thing.

u get to see them frequently in pimpri and on the way towards mahabaleshwar. Any launch dates known to anyone? The pics are available on this forum.

Another thing thats noticeable is the higher GC than the curent gen Indica. I suspect it was a diesel because of the engine sound, but it was not as pronounced as the current gen. NVH levels should be better in this one.

Apart from X1, they are probably working on another design code named X2.

Looks are on the lines of SWIFT, with a 1.3 MJD

But we heard that X2 was the code for new safari/xover platform.

it would be running fiat 1.3 Multijet hence better engine sound compared to Dicor.

I wish X1 comes with the VGT (Variable Geometric Turbo) with their version of MultiJet. I heard that it delivers 75bhp, with VGT It is Peted in Factory

I guess you mean the X4, but we still have no proof that there is indeed such a platform.

Now that would be some info if true. But i had heard Tata is working on a car competing with Alto/Spark. Havent heard of a Swift/ Getz competitor from Tata. Lets wait & see.

Not really, X3 was code for the Nano project. Not sure if they would change the project codes before the completion of the project.

yes you are right. X2 platform is for TataSierra, Safari,Mobile,Estate and Sumo.
X1 is for Indica, Indigo and Marina.
