So what’s the Sutera? As the pictures show, it is a 5-door hatchback which is 3.6 metres long, 1.5 metres wide and with a wheelbase of about 2.3 metres, about the size of a Proton Savvy. While the overall looks are typical for a hatchback, Pininfarina gave the rear end a unique look with a triangular rear light cluster. Other unusual details are the shape of the depression under the door handles (not the usual rectangle) and the location of the front signal lights at the base of the A-pillar, just ahead of the doors mirrors (this is allowed under Malaysian Vehicle Design Regulations). The headlights are also given some character and as is the trend, they have clear covers which show the elements inside.

MALAYSIAN MOTOR TRADER NEWS - FIRST LOOKS - Naza Sutera!

Sekoyen’s » Archive » The New Naza Sutera 1.1 16 Valve EFi DOHC

Back in september we had a thread about Naza's plans for india with the probables being the sutera and the bestari, was always wondering why there was no further news on this front.

Their factory is in Chennai right,Think this is the time the prototypes would be out on the roads for testing purposes. So chennai guys watch out for the same[actually did nitrous capture the spy pics of the sutera and not the pa].

Not downplaying naza but still I think they may find it hard here.

Edit:
@bidurin actually I assumed you where talking of an india launch, kindly give more details about the same.

the car looks ugly IMO and would be difficult to click in the market .. especially with no brand recognition

Placement of lights is very interesting and novel. Rear placement in c pillar is very usefull in india, as bikers have a liking for rear light clusters.

Seems airbags are standard and price is 4 lakh INR. Will see how much they ask in India.

Though, main issue for company will be its name...no one has heard of it and hence there will be initial reluctance to go with it. But if the car is good enough, things can change quickly.

If u look carefully, one of the pictures has the fender and headlight of the Getz diesel.Hyundai's test cars drive in groups and "pit stop" at the same tea shops.
So, it is a Hyundai for sure.

Looks pretty, of course taste differs from one individual to another. IMHO this car interior and exterior look better than most of the hatches and tall boyz we have. Presently runs on 92 RON Petrol ??

I dont understand the logic in keeping the IC in the middle, heck remove the car in LHD or RHD cant you change the IC accordingly rather then making life behind the wheel so tough. Looking in the middle is a pain and its totally stupid of manufacturers taking a shortcut by putting the IC in the middle. Morons.

Let them launch the car. But, please! Shall we have a different name? :D
