On the features' front itself, expecting the Syros to break the segment. If Kia can price this one in a sweet spot, this is sure to be a blockbuster.

Looks very promising with a feature packed list. Ventilated rear seats is an absolutely great feature in the segment! Really well done, Kia India!

Just wish it didn't have those impractical flush door handles. Headrest for the 5th passenger is also missing in an otherwise loaded car which is such a shame.

Damn the only thing missing is the telescopic steering adjust. Would have been the perfect package for me. Driving ergonomics really matter and I'd gladly trade the useless 4 way power driver seats and the rear ventilated seats for it.
I love Kia's Soul and I'm glad some form of it has made it to India. Hoping for a GT/X-line version of the Syros in the future.

Simply put, I hate launches without revealing the prices !

I mean how am I to gauge it's a good package or not ? Not as if it has some ground breaking technology/feature to keep me hooked !!

This would perfectly fit into my need from a car. Only miss will be the head rest for the middle passenger.
If KIA can price it around 15 lakhs for top model this will be a game changer.

For a SUV which focusses on comfort and practicality, the tyre profiles seems to be very thin. The cladding is much thicker than the tyres.

Kia should have used a different coloured car for the presentation. The silver or the white for the presentation would have been quite nice. The blue shade is very similar to the blue shade of Wagon-R and the rear design of both the cars are quite similar and this makes people to compare the Kia Syros with the Wagon-R!

Syros seems to be a competitive package with strong set of engines, features & fine looking interiors but it is a hideous looking car.

Wow, I am not a Kia fan, but would have to appreciate them for showing genuine interest and coming up with new launches, rather consistently. I was pretty enamoured with Honda Element, and wondered if we have a similar thing in here. So this body style, like that of Element and Kia Soul is quite interesting for me.

I hope this does decent numbers for Kia.

1- Nice car. This might just be what Kia needs to further propel its growth story in India. I don't think it will create a new segment per se but will end up cannibalizing the vast volume of sales which go to Kia Sonnet's higher variants (HTX and above) - we might end up seeing only lower variants of Sonnet as this car goes on sale.

Of course, they will try and set it apart with the pricing, as they've already done with features (mind you Sonnet comes with a L1 ADAS while this one is packed with L2).

2- Now the car seems spacious and has a certain WagonR shape attached to it, something people like me will deeply appreciate since secluded cabins take the fun away of driving a city car. No complains on the feature side, providing ventilated seats in the rear row was unprecedented and is welcome as well. I just wish they had not wasted their time on that panoramic sunroof and instead given this a bunch more exciting features no customer could ignore - although I do understand the rationale.

3- It's hard to make conclusions without knowing the pricing. Skoda Kylaq was meant to be an okay car as well, but we all know how badly they botched up the pricing, especially by restricting demand for the lower variants. Kia MUST get the price right, as I've said before, the Indian customer wants to play less for more - that is all that matters. Considering their work with Sonet and Seltos, I don't think pricing will be a grave issue.

4- At the end, this car will take on the higher variants of Nexon, Sonet, Venue, 3X0, many premium hatchbacks and lower variants of Seltos and Creta (the two highest selling models in the segment relative to the proposition buyers look for. Putting Grand Vitara against Syros would be incorrect because people are not going to buy a Hyryder for the luxury).

I wish them well. It's an interesting launch, let's see how the market approaches this one. Certainly, looks bold and with a good road presence for its segment. Let's wait and watch.
