Well it certainly looks different from everything else. The Exter was also a boxy shape but way too mismatched in terms of design, plus the puny engine on offer. Let us see how Kia handles the power and transmission.

• The boxy design will lead to very good interior space with quirky looks on the outside. Also, this profile is somewhat similar to Windsor, just that everything is more squarish rather than Windsor’s curvy.
• They might also differentiate this with a “Hybrid / EV skateboard” powertrain @ launch!
• Folks in India have accepted Kia as a good brand and this will be good seller. Its like Hyundai Kia leadership needs a fresh product in the sea of Venues, Sonets, Cretas, Seltoses

Always liked the Kia Soul and models like the Scion xB that resembled the VW Caddy type Leisure activity vans. Small, boxy, high roof.

Waiting for this to be a premium rival to the WagonR, however the want to twist this into an SUV.

Almost forgot that aspect. Would probably come with just the 1.2l NA petrol. Smooth and reliable, yes. But pathetic performance:fuel efficiency balance.

I wish KIA made it an EV. A petrol/diesel would be too close for comfort to Sonet. It would nicely plug the gap (whatever there is left of it) left by the Punch and Nexon.

Saw the car in Hyderabad. I guess there are some Hyundai/ Kia employees staying in our society and are using it for pickup duties. The side profile reminded me of the Skoda Yeti.

Seltos, Sonet and Syros. Kia needs a hatchback or a C2 sedan. Not one more compact SUV.

Sounds like it'll be targeting the MG Windsor (since they're eventually going to launch the EV version). If that's indeed the case, they'll have to price it competitively because the Indian consumers have taken a huge liking to the Windsor
