No continues beep after 80, but every 2 minutes I guess.

I even discussed this with the SC guys and even they found it strange. However, they didn't have any solution for that.

I got my first service done yesterday. Asked the senior technical advisor there and he confirmed this is how it behaves unfortunately :-(

On one of the forum posts I read that somebody tried 'double-clicking' the Ok button and managed to get rid of the warning from MID.

Has anyone tried that yet ? I didnt get a chance to go to such an open road yet.

Yes, I went to Himachal and have tried it. Earlier at speeds above 80 kmph the warning sign used to go away by pressing the OK button on left side of the steering wheel once but now majority of the times it goes away by single click itself but sometimes it disappears only after 2 clicks.

Cool! I'll try double-clicking OK button as single click does not work.

Driving this car on Mountains is extremely irritating because of the auto indicators, they keep coming on almost on every turn. MG really needs to give an option to toggle it on and off.

Agree to this, auto-turn indicators are really irritating and most of the times give false indications - which could be hazardous as well.

Ex. in heavy traffic, if vehicle had to be turned to left or right by just 50cm or so then had to turn steering by more than 90 degrees and vehicle would start showing indicators - Even though we just had to move little left or right and not take a complete turn. Makes one look foolish too since people on road wouldn't know that these are auto indicators :|

There should be a way provided to turn this off. Feels quite helpless sometimes.

Hi, if anyone's recently bought a hector would like to know what offers are running. Ideally, in Delhi - NCR.
I am thinking to buy one and looking out for year end discounts.

Let's start a campaign to make our voices heard. We NEED the ability to enable or disable this auto-indicator feature and it is causing daily struggles to almost every MG Hector user.

We can start by emailing and tweet tagging the CEO of MG Motor India

Now is the best time. It won't get any better.

Chevy DNA in Hector makes me feel blissful.
Two days ago completed 12000 km and had a fun trip to Hampi from Tirupati via Tirupati-Bangalore-Hampi route. This was longest trip on Hector: very therapeutic experience: When starting from Tirupati, had a mild migraine headache, and the drive to Hampi made it disappear. The drive on-road took a little more than 8 hours one way, and about 1 hour 30 minutes break. Every time I drive the car I feel so pleased.

0. The car has been flawless except for occasional screeching sound of one of the brakes. Here are some details.

1. Average mileage has been between 8 to 13 depending on driving type - on highways with sub 100 speeds you can get close to 15 kmpl, on daily small 1- 2 km rounds you get 8 kmpl.

2. Insurance renewed for INR 26000 by MG dealer, better deal than other choices.

3. On Hampi trip, was able to use cruise control for long enough at 110 kmph and overall mileage was about 13.5 kmpl tank to tank.

4. I love the car and feel happy just to be in it, very enjoyable music system and pleasing interior.

5. The new software update has made infotainment system fairly quick.

Here are some pictures.

I have not met a single person who liked this feature.
I am not on twitter but would definitely send email for this feedback.

I tried this in my car but unfortunately it doesn't go away with any number of clicks. The only way is to reduce speed.
