Its been about 4 days since i have taken posession of my new Petra . I am enjoying every bit of it *!
I havent got a chance to take it out of town as i was on a official trip over the weekend.
But my limited driving experience in the city confirmed my faith in the 1.6 ltr engine, which seems to have plenty of punch.
The gear box is a pleasure to operate. The ride and comfort levels are quite good and suddenly the bad and bumpy roads feel a lot better
The Air con feels just like my Alto VX that i owned - which is saying a lot !
--I have fitted a sony Xplod CD mp3 unit (CDR 3300), which was coming with warranty and have matched it with Blaupunkt Transparent series speakers. The *bass and the effect are quite good.

Welcome to the Fiat owners club!
I also have a palio 1.6 - bought in october 2003. So both our cars have the same engine. Don't worry abt engine performance - it's probably the most tech advanced engine today - 4 cylinders 16 valves dohc 32 bit ecu! all this for 5 lacs! couldn't be a better deal!

Hey Beetle congratulations and Happy Motoring.....

The Fiat is a car built to last and maintaining it properly will give you years of pleasure. The 1.6 engine 100 horses is awesome. Are you going in for alloys? Anyways if you do not have tubeless tyres I suggest you fit them . That 100 bhp of your could certainly use it.
