Results Declared on Auspicious Day of April 1
This latest information was released by GNCAP on their official website on the notorious occasion of April 1. We hope you can join the dots with this historic day to realize that you have been tricked on April Fool’s Day. We urge you to also pass on this practical joke to your near and dear ones. And no, Maruti Fronx has NOT undergone any crash test yet but we definitely hope for top-notch safety rating for the upcoming crossover.

This was also apart of the prank by carblogindia. GNCAP did not release this on their website and it would have been very irresponsible. But GNCAP have in fact completed testing of more Indian cars and if all goes to plan there should be new ratings in not more than a few days.

As Maruti is known not to send cars for GNCAP testing voluntarily, can we presume that FRONX and new JIMNY are not part of this round testing as the vehicles are not launched in market for purchase ?
I wish either Grand Vitara or Urban Cruiser Hyryder is tested.

I have no clue what models are tested. They are bound by a tight non-disclosure agreement with the test lab and some limited media outlets. By complete guessing I expect the Citroën C3 and some Tata model. I think the only chance at seeing any Marutis rated is if Toyota has sponsored testing for their corporate twins. Toyota might want a rating for the Hyryder to compete with the Taigun and Kushaq considering that without ADAS it has no hope for five stars in the NCAPs of any of its export markets (Latin America and ASEAN).

Unprecedented 6 star rating for Fronx
PRANK!!! This is the ONLY way Maruti cars can score anything beyond 2 stars

At least in India, they can only Top the sales charts, and not even feature in the safety list.

Re: Maruti Fronx @ Auto Expo 2023

The only complaint I can think of basis these pictures is that

1. The tri colour seat covers is super tacky.

In other points of note, in the side view picture, it looks exactly like a Baleno on stilts. Not a good thing or a bad thing... just an observation. It looks better from the outside than the insides. The front dash looks super busy, too many lines, contours, items on the dash... Almost cluttered.

A few more - but what variant is this?
1. Buttons! But stalk for resetting the trip meter? Empty buttons on steering, right side panel on driver side. Hood / fuel knobs are easily reachable! Not sure all buttons are illuminated though.
2. Middle seat has adjustable headrest and 3-point seat belt. But 2 adults and a kid kinda rear which is ok in this segment.
3. Good space in footwell and large dead pedal.
4. Its a really smart looking car - skid plates, headlamps, DRL, alloys - all look really nice! The wheels also fill up the arches really well.

This is one nice car for the city! Not sure if it has a sunroof though - seems to be the most desired feature these days.

Re: Maruti Fronx @ Auto Expo 2023

After having dismissed it off as a "Baleno on stilts" this thread with the pics and data has me interested. Hope it turns out to be more than that.
Eagerly waiting for the review.

Re: Maruti Fronx @ Auto Expo 2023

What segment is this supposed be? Is it a replacement for the S-cross?
Ps- These crossovers need to stop and leave some space for sedans! By the time I will be in a market for cars, the only choice I'd have is SUVs and crossovers.

Are the media drive cars only available in Blue? Any pics of the Fronx in other colors?

Drive on,

Re: Maruti Fronx @ Auto Expo 2023

Except for unknown safety ratings, it ticks all boxes for a good looking and fun to drive (Turbo variant), affordable cross over.

It's way better looking and proportionate than Brezza.

Hoping 1.0L Turbo with 6 speed AT will be more fun to drive.

Re: Maruti Fronx @ Auto Expo 2023

Hello everyone,

I recently tried to book a Nexa Fronx through the company's website but was disappointed to learn that they have stopped taking bookings for the moment. As someone who has been eagerly waiting to get behind the wheel of a Fronx, this was disheartening news to hear.

I understand that the demand for these cars has been very high, but I hope that Nexa can resume bookings soon. I know I'm not the only one who has been excited to get their hands on one of these vehicles. Can any of the senior BHPians or moderators shed some light on why the bookings may have been paused and when they may resume?

Launch is near, Screenshot of Nexa Web Site
