Re: Jaguar Land Rover India head Rohit Suri to retire

What does one do as the MD of an ultra luxury brand (in India's perspective) like Jaguar/Land Rover? Will sell what like a few hundreds per year to ultra HNI? Where's the challenge in that for someone to be interested in such a role for so long?

Re: Jaguar Land Rover India head Rohit Suri to retire

The home-grown brand of TATA had so much potential after the JLR acquisition specifically in India. Given the TATA's pre-independence roots one would think JLR should have been the go-to luxury car brand in India. But alas, Germans and now Koreans seem to dominate the luxury segment. This was a missed opportunity. Hope the new JLR team does something different and takes India more seriously.
