Maruti Suzuki is celebrating its 40th anniversary with the launch of its Arena Black Editions. As the name suggests, models like the Alto K10, Celerio, WagonR, Swift, Dzire, Brezza and Ertiga are now available in an all-black colour scheme.

Re: Maruti Suzuki launches Arena Black Edition models

This brings to memories the legendary windsong edition Maruti launched in 2014. link .

Though these won't be an eyesore as much as that edition was, Maruti must have made some significant launch to the masses like the souped up Jimny link or the 1.4L turbo Swift 129 HP edition (Link) which they are already selling to the richer countries instead of babying them with some stickering on this momentous occasion.

The sports edition of the shift will make people respect Maruti more but Maruti somehow deems the masses to be ineligible to drive it's best offerings yet. The Swift sport mild hybrid is manufactured at the Sagara plant in Japan and is getting shipped to Europe.

That edition still manages to return 18kmpl!

Though the takers count will be low for a 15 lakh Swift that it is on the offering will be worthy of respect as opposed to now.
