The overall silhouette still seems like current version with only the front and rear getting updates.

Good thing bring the overdone and tacky X strip at the rear in current version seems gone and in place is a more flattened/rectangular rear windshield

Looks like this will be feature loaded to match the Venue facelift

They have shelved the X503 sedan that is based on Land Rover derived Omega Arc platform. The X453 based on the Afla Arc platform was postponed when the EV division was not yet seperated from the main company as they had financial constraints. Now both divisions are under full steam. They have the product pipeline ready and they cannot ignore it coz Maruti Suzuki is selling the Dizire sedan in huge numbers and they have plans for electric Sedans as well. As the MD of TATA MOTORS said they are currently selling only in 40% of the product categories and have plans to enter 90% of the product variants.

To exit sedan space was wrong on Tata's part. There is a Tigor, but the product is not strong. Also, when you have a diesel engine, why cant it be used in a three box car, compact or regular sedan?

They are also missing out on MUV segment. Both Triber and Ertiga are doing good. The company which introduced and succeded in station wagon segment couldnt morph into a seven seater MUV maker.

Tata need to dive into the boxy 4*4 segment to rival Thar and Jimny. With LR heritage it should not be that difficult for them.

They did not exit the Sedan space but gave it a temporary halt as the SUV space is picking up. The plan to enter the Luxury sedan space only with a electric car. The Sedans should start rolling out once the planned SUVs are out.

I too feel the same. TATA should design a shortened Harrier's Omega Arc based platform and design a two door and a four door SUV. That should have the Defender stance.
That will be a splendid lifestyle SUV.

Meanwhile, precious time would have been lost.

Tata should have continued the Manza segment in ICE and could have evolved it into EV, Hybrid, CNG versions.

Its actually perfect for Indian Highways, But it should be ADAS level 2, with Auto braking and Auto Acceleration (Adaptive Cruise Control) with Radar, like we see in MG Astor, XUV700, etc.

With just cruise control without ACC, you will have to keep setting Cruise setting again and again whenever you brake, but that problem is solved with Adaptive Cruise control, it brakes itself seeing the car in distance, and accelerates when road is clear.

What we have seen in Harrier/Safari is , its missing ACC, which is crucial for ADAS Level 2. With only emergency braking, lane assist and Blind Spot detection.

Which segment would any company invest? In a product that sells 10 thousand cars a month or 2 thousand cars a month. The answer is simple. Right?

Similarly if VW/Skoda would have invested the time in promotion a Mini SUV instead of Slavia/Virtus, it would have garnered more numbers.

When SUVs are in vouge and they had limited sources, it was logical to put Sedans in back burner and concentrate in high selling segment and thanks to that they are in the race to the number 2 position. The same thought made KIA decide not to enter the hatchback/Sedan segments.

Sedan buyers are lot more demanding and they demand refinement. TATA could not give them in Indigo/Manza. Hence they refrained for the moment. Now the Altroz has struck the right chord. Hence now is the time to launch a Sedan. But for the Moment Curvv and Sierra are in the pipeline with BS6 S-II followed by facelifts being the current hurdles.

The front looks like it will get the now ubiqutuos headlight on bumper look, but from this spy pics, the rear does look styled clean than the current busy one.

Is Tata gearing up for the reveal of Nexon facelift or is it something else?

^^Looks like the facelift is going to get launched much before we've anticipated. Nexon is Tata's biggest hit and they will go all out in this version. The competition better watch out.
