Scoop! Kia Seltos facelift spied with sequential turn indicators

A test mule of the Kia Seltos facelift has been spotted testing once again. While you may have already seen spy images of the car, this video confirms that the upcoming SUV will get sequential turn indicators.



The upcoming Seltos will be based on the updated model that is already on sale in the global markets. The SUV gets reprofiled LED taillights with an LED light bar and a redesigned rear bumper. This particular test car also had dual chrome exhausts and was riding on dual-tone alloy wheels.

Up front, the Seltos features an updated grille and new LED headlights, while on the inside, it gets dual screens with a digital instrument cluster. The SUV is also likely to be offered with ADAS.

The Seltos facelift will also come with a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing 158 BHP and 253 Nm. It replaces the current 1.4-litre turbo-petrol motor. Kia will carry forward the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options.

I spotted 4 of these new Seltos today, undergoing test runs a few kilometres away from their Anantapur plant. Three of them seen among the oncoming traffic and one came up from behind and overtook me. Colors were red, white and 2 navy blues.

The driver was maintaining a safe distance ahead of me. When I overtook it to take a look of the front view, they again speed, went ahead and then maintained a safe distance instead of disappearing. Eventually some traffic came in between us and I lost sight of it.

Looks a touch bigger than the current gen but retains the smart silhouette. I could see the sequential indicators. While clearing the small rumblers, the ride of the new one seemed less stiffer than my car.

Great to see test mules doing the rounds more often now. We can hope that the launch happens soon within the next quarter. Launch likely to clash with the Honda SUV. Still no leaks on whether the car gets a panoramic sunroof. Interesting to see sequential turn indicators and the same alloys from the global launched model on the top end trim.

I just want improved body structure from the upcoming Seltos. Even though the features they provide are good, safety is a must. At least make the Seltos a 4 star car KIA !

I pulled the dashcam footage and created a short video of the capture. The car has come from behind, overtook me and stayed ahead for some time. Then I overtook it briefly and then it went ahead again.

The driver was putting on the hazard lights every time it slowed down and was flashing in a hurry to overtake the traffic ahead.

So the lower variants don't get the sequential indicators ? The one in the first post has sequential indicators and bottom post doesn't get it.

2024 Seltos facelift launched in Korea.

The 2024 Seltos features an expanded application of customer preferred specifications to enhance product competitiveness and enhance interior and exterior design.

Kia has made the popular trim Prestige standard with an electronic shift dial and paddle shift, and first-row seatback pockets as standard on all trims to increase customer satisfaction.



In addition, the optional monitoring pack in the Prestige trim has been added with remote smart parking assist to enhance its marketability.

Kia further perfected the design of the Seltos through interior and exterior advancement.

Kia Seltos facelift with panoramic sunroof spied

Images of another Kia Seltos facelift test mule have surfaced online. This time the images reveal a panoramic sunroof, which is expected to be offered on select variants.



The updated Kia Seltos will come with several changes both inside and out. The SUV will get a redesigned front grille with new LED headlamps, new design dual-tone alloy wheels, twin exhausts and sequential turn indicators.



The Seltos will also pack a host of safety features, including a 360-degree camera with blind spot assistance. But more importantly, the popular SUV will get Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Is it just me or the sunroof does look misaligned in this photo?

It isn't misaligned to the extent so that it looks like it is opened for ventilation, but there is some degree of crookedness visible to me.

The chances of the Sportage coming to India are slim to none, even if they do introduce it in India, with the Tucson being priced at 28.63 lakhs -35.46 lakhs ex-showroom, The Sportage would be priced similarly unless it is manufactured in India and not CBU.

The two things the upcoming Seltos needs to have, above all else, are better structural stability and safety rating.

In terms of features, the Korean twins are already occupy top spots on the leaderboard. Sans the panoramic sunroof, and an ill designed "display panel", there's really not much to complain about.
