Skoda Kushaq Lava Blue Edition launched at Rs 17.99 lakh

Skoda has launched the Kushaq Lava Blue Edition with prices starting at Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Kushaq Lava Blue Edition is positioned between the Style and Monte Carlo variants. As the name suggests, the SUV is available in the Lava Blue colour scheme with an 'Edition' badge on the B-pillar. It also gets a chrome grille, puddle lamps, chrome garnish on the doors and plush edition pillows.

The Kushaq Lave Blue Edition is available with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 148 BHP and 250 Nm. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG.

Skoda has launched a special edition of the Slavia called the Anniversary Edition. It also comes in the new Lava Blue shade.

Beautiful colour but can we also start a seperate thread where we can track all the special editions that will eventually come out?

I Kind of lost track of the special editions of VW Polo which at the end had about 98 gazillion special editons.

Any idea if the 10 inch infotainment system is part of this edition? The press release only mentions the infotainment system for Slavia.

I hope Skoda doesn't make the mistake Ford did with SYNC3 on Ecosport.

All current owners can buy and paste the edition badge and can name their cars as per the color they have, red edition, white edition.

What stupidity of naming a car based on the colour, Skoda has literally run out of ideas.

Whenever any car fails to sell in good numbers, such editions are introduced. Very soon big discounts will be announced by Skoda and VW.

Is this the first time that an 'edition' edition is launched after a colour? And I think puddle lamps is the only new addition as I have not seen it even in the erstwhile top variant Style at launch. Not sure whether Monte carlo already has it.

I think a Kushaq AC edition would sell very well - one in which the AC works as intended and without any fuss.

Apparently, the dealership can install puddle lights in non-puddle lights models at about 1500 per set of two.

Yes it is. I had booked a white Monte Carlo, but am switching to this one. The blue does not have dual tone paint scheme on the outside and no dual tone red and black scheme on the inside trim. Instead the blue will have Grey and black inside trims.

Thanks. Is this an official Skoda accessory (to avoid warranty issue) and are you aware that this can be fitted in older model vehicles (mine is last year Ambition)?

The accessory puddle light will be fitted by the dealership. Apparently, this is a Skoda accessory. The've also offered to install a Blaupunkt camera system as an accessory.

Did you get the 10 inch infotainment? Many walkaround videos still show the smaller 8 inch infotainment screen.

Re: Skoda Kushaq Lava Blue Edition launched at Rs 17.99 lakh

I guess Skoda India is taking a page out of Tata's book to bump up the sales and keep the buzz alive. New body colours, chrome add-ons and the like...........

Would be better if these so-called special editions had some real value addition with actual unique features rather than cosmetic add-ons.

Looks like "Nexa Blue" from Maruti Suzuki. The Nexa Blue is perceived as premium among the usual car buyer. Skoda wants to cash in on this it seems.
