Interesting strategy to increase the variant mix and offer more choices but they also need to fix the obvious vehicle flaws like the AC, interior quality, poor camera and audio quality.

Also, the limited editions are purely waste of manufacturing resources.

They missed the opportunity to offer the Virtus and Taigun 1.5 DSG in highline variants like their cousin Skoda. More enthusiasts could have gotten their hands on that powerful 1.5 tsi/dsg combo.

The black alloys on a BLACK car look absurd. Chrome alloys would've been way, way better. The car looks like what a 100k subscriber youtuber would get done on his virtus for clicks and likes.

I think that it's inspired from Tata Dark Editions which have been quite successful in India. Even though it might not be to everyone's taste but makes business sense to follow a design idea that is already well accepted.

Can we expect the Virtus 1.5 TSI MT in a GT trim in the near future in addition to the GT Plus?
I for one don't need all those features that come with the GT Plus and the GT will be even more affordable.

these cars need 360 degree camera & ADAS since yesterday. all these color and sticker jobs wont work against verna which is a solid over all package IMHO.

Other than the manual options which are welcome additions and will be lapped up by many who dont want to deal with DSG horror stories, it looks like VW is back to age-old polo strategy of introducing new variants every few months!

I think those were successful because Tata introduced new features in them such as ventilated seats etc which were previously only available on the garish gold editions. And now the Red Dark editions are the ones that get the new infotainment, 360 camera, ADAS etc, once again increasing it's appeal instead of just the colour scheme.
