Ferrari to drive into India with Tata Group

http://www.ndtvprofit.com/homepage/s...39501&template=

Ferrari is all set to come to India. They plan to have a partnership with Tata. Just saw NDTV news.

F430 is what they plan to introduce along with the 612 Grand Tourer.

Now has this anything got to do with Dippy driving the F430??

Just heard it myself. Great news methinks. This right after the economic times had a piece suggesting Bajaj is contemplating a stake in Triumph and Ducati. India Shining!

I hope the A.S.S would be better than what they offer for fiat.

its a shame they chose tata, after their fiascos with fiat and their very own cars.. Mahindra may have been a much better bet, if not for their tie-up with Renault.

The starting price is Rs 98 lakhs for the 612 I think. Tata is to provide engineering support.

Seems that TCS does a lot of software for the FIAT group and the fiat bosses are highly impressed with Ratan Tata.

Ferrari joins Porsche & Lambo in India. Any of the world class sportscar companies left? Lotus, Maserrati, Jag, Alpha Romeo

However where are the roads???

Must be the FIAT connection. Imagine walking into a TATA dealership to get your Ferrari oil change.

Tata motors may not be some thing to write about for Ferrari or to join it
But certainly Mr Ratan Tata is a very very big business leader in Europe
After acquiring CORUS and they are also acquiring something bigger in times to come And Ferrari's knows this , they are counting on the MAN not the company

Not just Ratan TATA, but the entire TATA group of companies is well respected world wide for their sheer size. TATA is a multi-national company and a significant part of their income comes from their overseas businesses. FIAT know that and that's why they have a joint venture with TATA motors.

Joking aside, if Ferrari do allocate a few cars to Indian market, they will also get TATA to have a seperate service centre(s) with superior experience (and costs!) than your typical friendly and competent TATA service centre.
