2009 Nissan X02A,X02B and new sedan in india

Nissan on the other hand would be starting off with its small hatchback model (X02A) and then the large hatch (X02B), with volumes expected to touch 1.95 lakh and 1.3 lakh respectively by 2012. These models will come with a range of engines including 1.2 and 1.5-litre petrols (XH5) as well as a 1.5-litre diesel (XH2)

According to Dr Pawan Goenka, president, automotive sector at Mahindra, “Nissan is looking at making a variety of cars at this new facility”. Nissan is also believed to working on a new-entry luxury sedan for India in collaboration with Samsung Motors (which is part of the Renault Group), which would go up against the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic. The company is also planning to use this new facility as a major sourcing base for export to its overseas markets in Europe and elsewhere.

I think of conbine info have ever heard all about this above project what X02A is a new march (Debut late 08 in japan),X02B is a new Tiida 5 Doors,new sedan is Corolla and Civic Fighting.

The thread start is a good Example of how slowly certain plans shape up for foreign companies. TATA and Mahindra on the otherhand seem to act and deploy faster.

Even though, the projected plans of the Nissan seems to be great, in actual the company, as said by ACM, does realy seems to lacking the vision, and plannig for the future. or is confused to what to start and to whom to believe and start the fullfledge Indian operations.
otherwise i don't think there is any lack of products with them, infact it does have capabilities to be a good compititor to Toyota & Honda.
lets hope Nissan finalises some concrete steps till coming Auto Expo 10.
