This is a welcome move. I always found Tata's Dark Edition interiors very dull and monotonous. This Carnelian Red theme, complete with ambient lighting and all, looks amazing!

Good review and seems to be a decent update from Tata.

Are these features i.e 360 camera / ADAS available only for the black edition or for the others as well ?

Looks good. But I don't see a need for another "edition" this could have been an add on package.

Thanks Aditya.
Finally a detailed post on the Red Dark editions. Expecting to take delivery of my Safari Red Dark XZA+ on Tuesday or Wednesday. Car looks good in person. More about it when I get my hands on it.

Re: A Close Look | Red Dark Edition of the Tata Safari & Harrier

Surely, they could've done a better job of " removing " the aux port? Touches like these are ridiculously half-hearted in what's essentially a 30 lakh Rupees car.

Tata motors should learn that "luxury" is in the details!

Looks pretty neat... Although all that red upholstery seems a tad overkill... Looking at ambient lighting in daylight really doesn't give much idea of what is really looks like in use.

Jeez, that is too much red on the inside. Not to my taste at all.

Re: A Close Look | Red Dark Edition of the Tata Safari & Harrier

Looks very nice especially the red interior. Thanks for the detailed review.
Seems kinda overpriced though, considering you can get a fully loaded ScorpioN for 24L ex-showroom in Maharashtra.

Re: A Close Look | Red Dark Edition of the Tata Safari & Harrier

Looks like a Harrier/Safari "Pimp my Ride" edition!

On a serious note Indian carmakers can explore bespoke options, especially on the plus side of 20 lakhs. I'm sure customers won't mind paying extra for upholstery in their choice of colour. I would prefer a factory fit option over an unknown third party customiser any day.

Oh, I expected it to look much better. It looks tacky, to say the least. Mahindra is way above Tata with regards to pricing and quality.

Gosh, Too much red for my liking. Glad that they did not provide red dashboard like Figo and Ritz.

Time will tell if this will have buyers!

Re: A Close Look | Red Dark Edition of the Tata Safari & Harrier

Looks are subjective so I am sure we will have takers and haters for this Tata offering for sure and which is expected for any product.

I for some reason love the red treatment and it looks very classy. Glad they did not have any red treatment on the dash else it would have looked tacky. Safari has a great stance and is a very beautiful looking SUV. Wishes for more will always be there but if Tata can work on building its reputation to offer more reliability and quality checked vehicles, it will go a long way in their brand value.

If I was in the market today spending 30 lakhs or so, this would surely be on top of my list.

Thanks,
Deb

These features are standard across other top spec trims as well. Not sure about lower spec trims.
