My new wagonr with 5000 on the odo gives around 15+ in the city without AC. With AC it is 13.5 to 14. Highway not tested yet, should be around 17+ i think.

Baleno & Rally Sport

City - 11-12kmpl with A/C and upto 18 with A/C on highway. I am not a passive driver and like to keep the revs up..

My wife's Rally Sport (Ford) however gives 7-9kmpl in city.. About 11-12 on highway..

Baleno Mileage

18 with AC on the highway with the Baleno??

You must be kidding right?

I've never even heard of the Esteem with those kind of figures. Even the new NHC( the most FE C segmant car) does not go above 17 on the highway.

if it's true what Petrol were you using. I guess OD guys wud love to welcome you.. 18 Kmpl with a 1.6 L Engine is unheard of for a petrol.

As for me, on my Baleno, i got a 15.3 Kmpl on a perfect 250 km run on the Delhi-Chd highway. Overall mileage for the 650 Kmpl trip was around 13+.

Santro eRLX

My new santro eRLX gives 15+ with A/C in city conditions including 15-30 mins in standstill traffic.

On highway, it gives 17+ on Mumbai - Pune Expressway.

Fiat Uno diesel - blore city + any fuel = 15kmpl
Fiat uno diesel - highway + any fuel = 22kmpl

OHC 1.5 - 75% highway 25% rushhour blore traffic + highway petrol pump = 10kmpl
OHC 1.5 - 60% highway 40% coimbatore city driving + Speed 93 = 15kmpl !!!!

Palio 1.6 - 70% highway (with a very light foot <3k rpm) + blore city traffic + ocassional ripping = 14kmpl
Palio 1.6 - Speed 93 100% blore city = 9kmpl

Running the car on Shell brew now. Have to see what figures I get. But I have been driving the car a bit hard lately. So figures will not be great i guess

But who the heck cares anyway

Haha...just got some more figures in from the latest tankfull in my Baleno...

In Bangalore city's killer rush-hour traffic, I'm getting 15.88 kmpl without my aircon. I'm scared to venture onto the highway, my car may start producing excess petrol.

All this on Shell's regular unleaded.

Whoa! That's some great figures. I never even got 15.88 on the highway. Although i use the AC all the time.
Are you using Stock air pressure on the Baleno(29 psi).

BTW is Shell's regular Unleaded petrol - 87 Octane..

32-33psi on all tyres. Shell's regular is supposed to be 87, but because there's no adulteration or suspect quality, you can feel the difference, and I guess it's almost as good as other peoples' 91.
