1. Accent CRDi [70K and counting ++] - 15 in city and 18 @ 140kph, 20+@ 120kph, 16@ 160 kph, ofcourse all drives with 3 digit speeds are on the GQs..

2. Gypsy King 1.3 carb - 9 - 11 in city, highway in 2WD and around 8 in 4wd and 6 in 4wd-L

3. MM540 DP - 12-13 in city and maybe 14-15 on highway - Have not checked my highway figures that much. In 4wd - H - around 11 and 4wd-L - have to test it yet!

4. Indigo - [83K and counting] - 13 in city and 14-15 on highways!

All vehicles use premium fuels with System D and System G added as per the norms.

Safari 2Lts. TCIC - In City 8.5-9 kmpls for first 10000 kms has dropped to 7 kmpl in City at 150000 kms. Gives 10 Kmpl on the highway.

Cielo GLX AT - (Automatic) - 7 Kmpl in City 10+ on the highway.

1956 Dukar Fiat - 8.5 Kmpl

Skoda Laura (DSG AT) - (Automatic) - 11-12 in the City and 14-15 on the highway.

Not likely as it is newly released. The fuel efficiency figures begin to stabilise only after about 5000 km.

My Getz 1.3 gives

city - 13.2 without a/c ; 12 with a/c
highway - 15 with a/c ; 18 without a/c and sedate driving ( 70-90 kmph)

Hi Guys,

My 2003 Oct Indica V2 DLE give me the following FE
15 kmpl in Bangalore city traffic without AC
18 kmpl on Highways with 50% AC
20 kmpl on Highways without AC

The car has done 67858 Kmph during the last 5 years

My Zen Mpfi which has done 30,000 kms till date, is returning the below FE

City
11.5 - 12 kmpl without AC

Highway
Best: 19 kmpl
Worst: 14 kmpl
Average: 16.5 kmpl

The car is running on stock set up with no modifications whatso ever and am using normal petrol from HP/BP till now.

HI everybody My santro LP Zip plus gives only 11KMPL.

Now, i have a doubt that, petrol pumps are cheating to us.

So, guys, can you tell me what to in this aspects?

Optra Magnum LT:- City 13-14 (AC) Highway 17 -18 (AC)
Toyota Innova V:- City 10-11 (AC) Highway 12 -14 (AC)
Honda City Gxi :- City 12-14 (AC) Highway 15 -16 (AC)
Ford Ikon TDCI:- City 18-20 haven't taken to real Highways just suburban traffics.

I dont think so there is much of a fault with Pumps, my In laws had a Santro Zip plus which never used to deliver more than 11kmpl in the City.
They were also quite pissed of due to same.

Own a Santro 2001 September model, took it for an oustation drive from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer with 5 people and loads of luggage and 700 Kms on the odo-FE 18.24 kmpl.Driven constantly at approx 80 w/o AC.
After that, it has constantly delivered mileage of 17+ with A/c on highways an at times around 20 kmpl w/o AC.
The worst that i have got on Highway was with 8 people stuffed in(some how), AC at full blast in sweltering Desert heat of rajasthan and Santro at 100+ was around 16 kmpl.I just can't imagine Santro at 11.
Well, as read in the fuel saving tips on this portal, the driving was almost of that sort. with non premium fuels.
To add on, I have observed with my Santro & Splendor that using premium fuels definitely smoothens the engine and reduces gear changings but the FE is reduced by 15-20%.
I wish if someone else could also veriify the same.

My Nissan X-Trail 2.5 CVT Petrol figures for highway is 13. Sedate, smooth driving at around 100-110kmph, with AC and just two people. CVT is the way to go!

City stop and go traffic it comes down to 9.

My previous SX4 1.6 Petrol auto never gave above 12kmpl in Highway!
