33PSI?? Isn't that a bit high for city use? Agreed that you rarely get to go above 50KMPH in Bangalore traffic but stilll............

Looks like you are not using stock tyres.

Even then doesn't overinflating(by 4-5 psi) decrease the ride comfort tremendously.

I use stock tyres and keep it at 28 psi for a very smooth ride.

hmmm...looks like there is something with my Baleno w.r.t it's fuel consumption considering figures quoted here(almost in the NHC league)

Fuel makes a difference..

I usually use Speed and the figures i gave you earlier were based on that, but i am on my second tank of shell (they have opened up quite a few direct bunks in bangalore) i get less mileage (10.2kmpl in city with occasionally A/C being switched off and a lot more traffic off-late ;-) ) than speed, but a lot more smoother ride (this is with their premium. Today, i filled up their regular and the ride seems as smooth. I strongly recommend you guys to try the shell's fuel and check the difference..

Swift Vxi - 10.6 Kmpl [last tankful of Power]

100% city driving conditions. Extremely bad roads and peak traffic between Andheri (E) and BKC. Occassional runs to Bandra and Andheri Linking Road and SV Road. AC on all the time.

I got 14.2 on a 240 Km drive outside the city once [again with the AC on all the time]. Haven't taken the car out on the highways ever since.

Would love to hear FE figures from other Swift owners in Mumbai. I regularly use premium fuel [speed/power] from pumps around Andheri.

My Tata Sumo Victa Turbo (Stock Condition) :

City : 7 - 8 kmpl in Bangalore city always with AC on, and my office is a practically straight 7 km from home with just 2 traffic signals

Highway : 9 kmpl with the AC always on.
Bangalore - Tirupathi ( 325 kms of EXCELLENT roads) : 8.31 kmpl
Tirupathi - Bangalore : 8.8 kmpl.

Bangalore - Aurangabad - Indore - Jaipur - Bharathpur and back to Bangalore by the same roads (4,542 kms) -
Avg. (on this journey) - 9.51 kmpl.
Best (on this journey) - 10.46 kmpl
Worst (on this journey) - 9.05 kmpl
All figures with AC on.

And mileage always checked from full-tank to full-tank of diesel.

I was very much disappointed to see that "Protest against Tata Motors" thread deleted and locked. I had got hold of Tata's marketing head(?), and wanted to share this information with him, but now the thread is gone :(

32-33psi!!!! :WTF: Baleno is best with 29-30psi,,,I strongly recommend you check the specs if you are running on stock, which I guess is true...

With respect to Shell petrol,,,well I use only shell premium unleaded and the car is super smooth with fairly good power(U know that ). I get around 13kmpl with 50% aircon usage within city,,,infact I got 12.86 for my last tank full. I havent really tried IO extra premium or speed, suppose to be as good. But the Dutch giant Shell is sure bang for the buck. The premium unleaded is supposed to be 93 octane and priced at Rs 51.90/-(Blore)...fair deal I guess.

Getz 05 has run 8000km, gives me 11.5 to 12.5 kpl with AC 50% highway.
Baleno 05 has run 700 km, shows 12.5 kpl with AC 70% highway.
Both use regular unleaded with System G
